Mrs. Haber is extremely knowledgable and experienced in her field. Her deep experience working within the LA County court system was incredibly valuable. Specifically, we worked closely with Mrs. Haber for several months in 2020 on a felony charge for one of our family members. She treated us empathetically and took much extra time to explain to us the law, her recommended path forward, and why it made sense. Susan Haber was extremely professional, caring, and communicative throughout the entire process of my DUI case. I was arrested for driving under the influence with a BAC of 0.11% and thought my life was over. Initially, Susan told me how she would fight for me, what points she'd argue, and any holes in the prosecution she could take advantage of. The first was the DMV charge. Susan challenged the ruling, but was not successful. She explained that the DMV is very stern in their rulings and my BAC of 0.11% would be hard to defend. Nonetheless, she went to bat for me by challenging the reasons why I was pulled over. While she was requesting the video footage of my driving from the CHP and checking calibration dates of the breathalyzer used on me, my license suspension was delayed, working out in my favor. I was able to continue driving normally and legally, and even had time to preemptively sign up for a 3-month DUI program, as well as install an Ignition Interlock Device that she recommended to me. Second was the actual court charge. Keep in mind the court date and the DMV hearing were weeks, even months apart, but Susan would keep in touch, let me know what was going on, and answered any questions I had (although not many because of how informative she already was). I think being responsive and reachable was one of her greatest strengths. She was always a phone call or email away and that really helped ease the situation for me. Susan was able to reach a settlement for my case that involved no jail time and a substantially lower fine. Despite agreeing to the settlement, I asked for a bit more from her and wanted a less severe wet-reckless charge. Although telling me it was unlikely, Susan still pressed the court at my request. I sent her my confirmations from the Ignition Interlock Device and proof of enrollment to the DUI course she recommended me to in the beginning and lo and behold, she was able to drop my case to a wet-reckless! Words can't describe how relieved and satisfied I am with her hard work and diligence. I can't speak for everyone's case and there is no guarantee Susan will win every time, but the fact still stands that she was there for me. She guided me through this dark maze and challenged the DMV as well as the court for me. She explained everything along the way, she was super sweet and caring, and provided counsel when I needed it; everything you'd expect/want from a lawyer. The best part about this entire experience was, win or lose, I never had to take time off to handle anything. Susan went to court, requested all of the evidence, debated with the prosecution, and even mailed me the paperwork I had to fill out and notarize. This left me free to focus on work, school, and my family. Thanks Susan!
