For many years I worked for a big criminal defense firm in Los Angeles. While working at the firm, I handled over 750 DUI cases and DMV hearings, and more than 300 other criminal matters, which included drugs, theft, sexual and violent crimes. By handling so many cases and working with so many different attorneys, I gained the experience and expertise that it takes most private criminal defense attorneys decades to obtain in a small practice. I was also privileged to have the opportunity to be trained by an ex-DMV hearing officer, and a 25 year experienced federal public defender. Even though this helped me gain experience at the time, I realized that in order to do my best on every case, I had to limit the amount of cases I could take on. Working at a big firm you do not get to decide how many cases you take on, you are simply given an inventory of clients.
The big difference between hiring a big firm to handle your case and hiring my office is that I will personally handle every aspect of your case, I will stay in constant communication with you, and my clients can rest assured that they will receive personalized attention because now I have the ability to limit the number of cases I take on.
During my time working for a big defense firm I covered all areas of criminal litigation including felonies and misdemeanors as a lead trial attorney. I achieved incredible results in complex cases, where the defendants were facing career threatening circumstances through negotiations or prevailing in trial.
I managed the DMV division of the firm, overseeing all attorney’s DMV hearings and briefs. I earned this position after achieving many DMV victories, and getting bad decisions overturned by the Superior court. Recordings of my DMV hearings were later used to train other attorneys. Since the majority of the cases I handled were DUI cases, I was trained and certified in standardized field sobriety testing, various breathalyzer devices, and police procedure in DUI investigations. My expertise and track record gave me the opportunity to lecture other attorneys in DUI defense seminars. My experience in DUI cases also gave me the ability to build close relationships with numerous court prosecutors and judges. Most importantly, I learned to make sure that every case gets the attention and expertise it deserves because I want to give my clients hope and peace of mind in knowing they are being well taken care of.

His communication always comes from a place of compassion and understanding. Needless to say he WON our ...

When I was arrested for a DUI, it was one of the most difficult experiences of my life. I called numerous lawyers and many solicited my business. Most were slick talkers and worked in big firms, but Ben has a down to earth manner and has an extraordinary ability to communicate and relate to his clien...
"Dedicated, experienced attorney. Ben has many years of experience assisting hundreds of clients with DUIs. From DMV to writs (appeals), Ben does it all. I highly recommend Ben to anyone looking to challenge a DUI."
"I endorse this lawyer with gusto!!!! Ben is not only an amazingly gifted attorney, he is a really nice guy. His ability to get what he wants from judges and prosecutors alike is something that many lawyers envy. One thing about Ben, he returns phone calls so very promptly. Although the biggest complaint folks have about their attorney is lack of communication, you will never experience that with Ben!"
"I worked with Ben several years ago and not only found him to be a very caring, conscientious attorney, but I also found him to be very knowledgeable and well prepared for a young attorney. In the 4 years since we first met, I have seen Ben continue to develop his craft, including becoming a first-rate trial attorney and always remaining on the cutting edge of developments in DUI-related laws and science. Now that he's managing his own practice, I know that he will be in a position to give his clients excellent representation better than ever before."
"Mr. Mironer has vast experience successfully handling DMV APS hearings. I've heard countless recordings of him successfully cross examining police officers at DMV hearings, directing expert witnesses and studied them in preparation for my own cases. Clients appreciate his dedication and benefit tremendously from his skilled knowledge of the law."
"You are in excellent hands if Ben is on your case. He has an enormous amount of experience and knowledge, particularly when it comes to DUI's. He stays on the cutting edge of new case law, so he is always armed and ready to fight for you. He is a great advocate. I endorse this lawyer."

"Ben Mironer is a highly skilled criminal defense attorney. His expertise with the DMV Administrative Per Se Hearing process, including writs and administrative reviews of DMV decisions, is unparalleled. He also fights zealously in court to obtain the best results for his clients. Most importantly, Ben cares about the clients that he represents and strives to find a personalized solution for each case. I highly recommend Ben Mironer to anyone who is facing a criminal charge."
"Ben is highly skilled attorney, specifically in the area of DUI criminal defense. He has an in-depth understanding of the science behind both breath and blood testing and the errors which can be made that would compromise the accurate reading of chemical testing. He is also well experienced in conducting DMV hearings and identifying issues where law enforcement has not properly conducted their investigation to help prevent his clients from a driver's license suspension. Ben takes the time to explain all areas of his clients' cases with them so that they feel comfortable and secure that they are in great hands with him. It is a pleasure to supervise Ben Mironer and I enthusiastically endorse him."
"Ben is extremely hard working and dedicated to his clients. He is particularly well versed in issues relating to DMV writs and expungement of criminal convictions. I wholeheartedly endorse this lawyer."
