Mr. Vallens defended my daughter in 2 DUI cases, years apart. Unfortunately, she had developed other issues by the time her second DUI came. I secured Jeffrey Vallens to represent me as a criminal defense attorney in a case where I was falsely accused of criminal behavior on multiple counts including drug charges (marijuana) and some property damage to a property. I was one of four persons served a warrant for these charges. On the su...rface, the case looked clear, that all four individuals were clearly at fault for the above mentioned charges. However, in my situation, I was familiar with the individuals and the circumstances, but I was not involved with their criminal behavior. (In fact I purposely stayed away from them after I knew what was happening!) But unfortunately the persons who were guilty had forged my signature on rental documents which implied my participation in their whole adventure. My father was referred to Jeffrey Vallens office through a bail bonds company that claimed Jeff was family-oriented, trustworthy and truly-dedicated to ensuring justice even in very complex courtroom situations. Mr. Vallens' was absolutely all that the referring company described him to be... x10 !! Being that my situation was fairly complex and very sensitive (because my ex-boyfriend who was involved was also threatening me)... Jeff was extra careful as to the position I was put in throughout the entire experience. To our benefit, the District Attorney was taking a very long time to gather any evidence against me (because there was none!) so Mr. Vallens took the opportunity to question the witness much more strategically in a way that forced him to admit the truth... which was that there was no evidence of my participation in the whole shenanigan. So the process was long (and sometimes difficult because I had to miss work), but my experience with Mr. Vallens made the difficulties more manageable because I was confident that he would take every step necessary to proving my innocence. And he did. In fact the judge followed up a witness' (who was blatantly lying under oath!!) testimony by saying that I was dismissed from his court based on the grounds that there was no evidence of my knowledge or even participation in that matter presented in his court. From the first day that I met Mr. Vallens, I was very comfortable speaking with him honestly about all details of the situation. I told him every detail I knew so that he had the tools needed to defend me. Throughout the entire experience it was clear to me that Jeffrey Vallens was well-educated, experienced and not intimidated by my complex case. He spoke very eloquently in court and I felt proud to have him as my lawyer. And most importantly for myself, he always made sure that I was 100% clear about what was being argued/questioned in the court so that I would be prepared to answer a question honestly if spoken to. I could go on for days, but only to re-emphisize that I think Mr. Vallens is a commendable lawyer and if I needed to hire someone to defend a close friend or family member to me in a criminal case, I would absolutely choose Jeffrey Vallens.
