I recently got cited for reckless driving in the San Fernando area by a cop that seemed to completely not be interested in what I had to say about the matter. I had to swerve out of a lane to avoid a car in my blind spot which made the cop believe that i was driving recklessly. In any case, I didn’...t realize that this was a misdemeanor vs. a regular infraction, and just went about it casually thinking i will have to go through traffic school to get it off my record. Luckily, I realized just in time that this was a more serious issue, and it dawned on me that i will be needing the help of an experienced lawyer in the matter. Luckily for me, i called Greg Caplan and Anita Patel to represent me. From the very beginning, both Greg and Anita were extremely pleasing and friendly to work with. Anita represented me in the courtroom on my appointed date, and was able to get a second hearing date (based on my work schedule agreed in advance). At the next hearing I was prepped in advance and was kept on “stand by” while she worked with the opposing counsel to reduce the misdemeanor charge to a couple of infractions keeping my record clean. She was able to confirm with me over the phone my rights and enter the final plea without ever going to court. I couldn’t have asked for a more convenient solution to the matter. She mailed all the necessary paperwork, and the docket to my home along with a brief summary of the proceedings and a reminder to pay my agreed amount to the court. I can’t think of a more responsive or detailed person to work with in such a matter. I would highly recommend Anita for your criminal defense matters.

Anita Patel is a very knowledgeable and fast to respond to any inquiries I had. I never had to chase her down to get a response. Kept me well updated and informed. I contacted Anita a few weeks ago for help with resolving a bench warrant that had been issued for a failure to appear on a traffic fine. She was very up front about telling me what I needed to do and what I needed to bring with me to court to get the best possible resolution of my warrant. Obviou...sly, she has seen many cases similar to mine - because it worked like a charm! Even though I had missed the deadline to pay off my citation by about 8 months and was issued a bench warrant with a $5,000 bail, my court appearance was quick and painless. I basically got off scot-free, all I had to do was pay the original fine plus a $25 processing fee. I'd say from the time I appeared before the judge, we were in and out of the courthouse in roughly 20 minutes, and 15 - 16 of those minutes were spent waiting for the paperwork to make it's way from the courtroom to the clerk's office so I could resolve my fine.
