Look no further!

Steven Lever and his team handled my chapter 13 bankruptcy. They walked me through each and every step and answered every question I had. Steven and his team represented me with a calmness and a kindness as they understand how stressful a bankruptcy can be. Steven saved me a tremendous amount of mone...y and I cannot recommend him more highly.

Great Company

Our family tried to refinance and keep your home California before going with Lever Law for a chapter 13. After our first meeting with them and dealing with his staff I wish we had just went with them starting out. A difficult and stressful situation with the possibility of losing our house. After ou...r first meeting with the staff and Mr. Lever we finally felt like we might have a chance to start over. From the first meeting to the final phone call telling us that our house was saved they were totally professional and treated us with respect. I have never dealt with a business that was so on top of everything so much. We were always kept notified on what was happening and what will happen so there were no surprises. We can't thank them enough for making a difference in our lives!

Thank you Steven Lever

Steven Lever took my case after a couple other lawyers said they could not. He and his assistant Madeleine helped me every step of the way. Even though he said it was possible that the court's decision may be unfavorable, he was able to present the case so that I was granted chapter 13 bankrupcy.

A chance to start over

Steve Lever helped me recover from a surprise layoff, bankruptcy and starting over. As a lifelong journalist, I take nothing and no one at face value. I am cynical and to earn my trust, I have to verify your claims. Bottomline: Steve Lever was the right attorney to help me when things when wrong. He... made few promises, but kept those he did. He treated my wife and I with respect, understanding and patience. We learned to trust him completely as he shepherded us through selling our house, filing for bankruptcy and dealing with the aftermath. Background: After 19 years as an award-winning editor running a seciton that earned my employer over $100 million in revenue, I was blindsided by a group "salary dump" layoff ordered by our new boss, a former Las Vegas casino executive. Without my healthy income, all I had was a lot of bills and money going out - mortgage, college fees for my son, and medical expenses. My longtime financial advisor suggested we meet with Steve. He laid out our options - Chapter 13 or Chapter 7. He laid out the pros and cons of each and the timeline. He gave us a fixed rate that covered most of the expenses. Our finances were complex, so we needed his services for more than a year. Long before we approached the end of the fixed-rate period, we negotiated an extension that was also fairly priced. Steve always lets you know what things cost and took steps to keep the legal budget lean - such as directing us to hire less expensive lawyers and paralegals for some of the copious paperwork that required less expertise (and cost) than Steve offered. Steve and his staff handled all communications with sometimes aggressive and intimidating creditors, Bankruptcy is never painless, but Steve was our shield against the most onerous aspects of the process. Losing your job, selling your home and dealing with bankruptcy is depressing and humbling. .Steve not only had the legal know-how to take us through the process, but made us feel optimistic about our chances to start over when we reached the end. He also showed us mistakes we had made over the years and how to avoid them going forward - debt service is a rock we tie around our necks, wasting the money we are earning.. Bankruptcy is not the Scarlet Letter. It is a means by which society gives people who fall on bad times a chance to rebuild their lives. I have recommend Steve to many friends and colleagues. I have also used him to aid my parents in restructuring their finances as they live long into their 80s on pensions designed for the 1970s. I spent many years as an investigative reporter. I taught college courses on how to verify or disprove claims by people and institutions. Steve Lever has earned my trust and gratitude.

Lever Law was excellent

I make more money than would allow me to file a Chapter 7, so I had to file Chapter 13. Soon thereafter we had a family situation where my wife had to stop working and move back East. It left us without enough to implement the Chapter 13 Plan. Steve had me convert to Chapter 7 even though it was a... risky move from a legal standpoint, and I got through the Chapter 7. Thankfully I had counsel who could react and advise based upon my situation. He also got my credit union to waive a cross-collateralization clause so they would give me back a pink slip after I paid off my car loan and not demand I pay the credit card debt. That and a lot of other things make me glad I used LeverLaw as my case has had a really good outcome.
