I am very appreciative for what Dorothy has done for me in my divorce case. My now ex spouse accused me of all sorts of things (domestic violence, abuse of our children, etc..) and wanted to include several classic cars that I purchased before our marriage in the division of our property. Dorothy d...efended me in the false accusation of domestic violence and abuse of our children. All you have to do is ask the clerks and the bailiffs in the family law court rooms about her. The initial restraining order that the Court erroneously put on me has now been lifted, I am cleared of the false accusations. Even Children Services cleared me of the false claims of child abuse. I now get to share time with my kids equally, and have put my past behind me. I am a grateful father.

I was referred to Dorothy Carfrae by a friend that she represented in a divorce. My case is about custody of my 3 children, and their dad's lawyer is a self-proclaimed dads' attorney who advertises that he fights for dads' rights. I represented myself at one hearing and the judge told me to get an at...torney because he said that I did not know what I was doing in court. Well, after retaining Dorothy things started to change. After a series of very hard hearings, minor's counsel was appointed, my children now had their own attorney and their voice was heard. The end result is that I got full legal and physical custody of all my children. The ex got very limited visitation and has to pay support. I am one very grateful client.

One reviewer said she did not get support while Dorothy got her full custody. How did that work? I would rather get my children than $$ . Another said vaguely that (s)he told him/her that the case would settle for $100 grand, and then (s)he settled for less. Why did (s)he settle? It's a client's de...cision to settle, not a lawyer's. Yet another said vaguely that the retainer is non-refundable and that should be a clue. Did he read his retainer agreement? Did he sign it? Come on, please be fair. These reviews sound fake because they are not based on very simple legal principles. Dorothy Carfrae represented me and litigated the whole case from start to finish, including all issues of child custody, visitation, support, and division of properties. Dorothy was appointed by the Judge to represent my children in my highly confrontational and difficult divorce. She showed that she cares about my kids and their best interests. She was always there for them, and took the case to the end, with the results being what's good for the children. She did... not represent me, but I feel that she did extremely well by my young children. Thanks to her, they will be fine.
