Dorothy Louise Carfrae

I was not asked to write a review. I write this because Dorothy is a well-kown attorney and attracts fake reviews from competitors and spiteful opponents. I was a client of Dorothy through my divorce. My ex was a stay-at-home mom, and did not want me to see my children. On the other hand, the ex al...so wanted maximum child support and alimony. I want to be part of my kids' lives. Dorothy helped me get my time with my kids, and reduce support and alimony to a reasonable and legal level. For those results, I highly recommend Dorothy Carfrae to anyone going through a tough divorce .

My son's biological father, had a criminal record and was abusive towards both myself and my son. He provided nothing for a long period of time and then returned to the picture with nothing but requests. I did all the paperwork, I did all the footwork, I carried out my own investigation and I p...ut in all the time. In return, I got nothing but a bill for almost $5000 plus the $2500 (retainer). I am not an attorney nor would I unfairly write a review. At this point I have nothing to gain or loose. All I wanted was the well-being of my son. Instead my son now gets to hang out in an apartment complex in the hood steps away from sex offenders. Thank you for leaving my son in an unsafe environment and his only provider in a "well of more debts." By the way, she told me to file my own child support and to date, still has not completed by divorce.

I was referred to Dorothy Carfrae by a friend that she represented in a divorce. My case is about custody of my 3 children, and their dad's lawyer is a self-proclaimed dads' attorney who advertises that he fights for dads' rights. I represented myself at one hearing and the judge told me to get an at...torney because he said that I did not know what I was doing in court. Well, after retaining Dorothy things started to change. After a series of very hard hearings, minor's counsel was appointed, my children now had their own attorney and their voice was heard. The end result is that I got full legal and physical custody of all my children. The ex got very limited visitation and has to pay support. I am one very grateful client.

I cannot trust the fake reviews that are most likely posted by either Dorothy's competitiors or the opposing parties that she defeated in court. One reviewer said she did not get child support even though she has custody of her children ! Either she is not on this planet or her ex is unemployed, on ...welfare (the other reviewer said so), or she is a high earner. The other reviewer said her/his ex got $10,000 more than he deserves. I guess it's out of property division. The fact is: real properties are appraised, pensions are valued, and personal properties (cars, etc..) go by their fair value (blue book, etc) The Judge divides property, not the lawyers. If the lawyers do, it's with their clients' consent and approval. Get real! I settled my case with Dorothy's representation, and it was more than fair. In the beginning of the case, she got temp orders for support, and it was more than adequate. Don't believe these outrageous, unreal reviews based on no facts and outlandish creativity. Get an education, then hire a lawyer
