Biography
Amanda Rokita primarily focuses her practice on civil litigation, business law, real property law, intellectual property (trademarks), and cannabis licensing. Since 2014, Ms. Rokita has assisted businesses seeking cannabis licensing applications, including an application for a medical marijuana cultivation facility license in Desert Hot Springs, CA, the first city in Southern California to legalize large-scale medical marijuana cultivation.
Within her first year of practicing law, Amanda was one of the twelve attorneys chosen to participate in the Los Angeles Incubator Consortium Program, a partnership created among Southwestern Law School, UCLA School of Law, Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, local legal aid organizations and the Los Angeles County Law Library to support and assist law school graduates in starting their own solo, small firm, or non-profit practices. Incubator participants receive the infrastructure and basic training needed to get their practices up and running, and serve the local community’s legal needs at an affordable cost. During law school, Amanda was an extern with the Los Angeles Law Library, where she drafted a step-by-step research guide on criminal record expungement, which is available at the Los Angeles Law Library.
Amanda has been a member of the LACBA Small Firms and Sole Practitioner Section Executive Committee since 2019 and is the current co-chair of the membership committee.
Ms. Rokita is also a founding board member of Lawyers ACT (Lawyers and Communities Together), a non-profit organization that supports team-spirited solo lawyers working within communities on innovative community-lawyering projects and policymaking in the South Bay. Ms. Rokita has also volunteered with Legal Aid Foundation Los Angeles as an attorney for the Lawyers in the Library Program. She is a member of LA County Bar Association, Women’s Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, and the Beverly Hills Bar Association.

Very Helpful
She was a lot more forthcoming with information and advise than most other lawyers. The only lawyer who's not a liar
Not only is Amanda cute as a button, but she is a very competent lawyer who's not a shyster (which is hard to find these days). I met with 4 other lawyers before deciding on her, and I'm glad I did. She negotiated and drafted a few business deals for me and I'd definitely use her again!
