Biography

Mary Der-Parseghian has experience litigating complex cases in federal and state courts, including unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, and business torts such as fraud. Ms. Der-Parseghian's practice combines an advocate's skill complemented by a business person's judgment in strategic evaluation and settlement negotiations. A tactical attorney, Ms. Der-Paseghian develops a strategic plan from the onset of litigation in order to obtain a successful outcome for her clients. Ms. Der-Parseghian’s business oriented approach to litigation has led to remarkable victories for her clients, both at trial and in the mediation and settlement context.

Ms. Der-Parseghian started her practice in the personal injury and complex business litigation arena. Ms. Der-Parseghian continues to practice in those areas and has expanded her practice in Family Law.

Ms. Der-Parseghian can’t remember a time when she didn’t want to be an attorney. With that goal in mind, she concentrated on developing her organizational and analytical skills working as a legal secretary to Mr. Aroustamian as she completed her undergraduate work. Ms. Der-Parseghian then was admitted to Southwestern School of Law’s SCALE Program, also known as Southwestern’s Conceptual Approach to Legal Education, the only accredited two-year law school program in the country. After obtaining her Juris Doctorate degree, she returned to working with Ara Aroustamian as an associate at the firm.

Ms. Der-Parseghian received her JD from Southwestern University School of Law, SCALE Program, 2002; and her BA from the California State University – Northridge in Business with an emphasis in Business Law, 2000. Ms. Der-Parseghian is admitted to the State Bar of California, and is admitted before all Federal District Courts within the State of California.

Bad choice!

This attorney plays hard to get.She has no notion of what professional is! she promised to negotiate paying off an equipment lease for me. Instead,she calls all thee creditors involved and obtained each one's payoff amount,and damaged my credit in the process! I won't recommend her to my enemie...s!

It is unfortunate that when resuts are not satisfactory due to circumstances that are not in the control of the attorney, like debt minimization/settlement, the attorney is blamed. One must wonder where was the attorney when the client was signing the horrible contract? Let's ponder that before we try to fry the messenger that you ust simple made a very bad business decision and now must pay!
