Thus far, my experience has been standard I’d say. I don’t have some above and beyond expectation with bankruptcy filing because it is what it is. Attorneys are hired, they tell you what they need from you and you provide it so they can do their jobs. Maybe I am more understanding having worked in th...is field for over 20 years as a paralegal. But please, read the fine print and listen to what you are being told. Retainer fees are almost always “assumed earned” because more work goes into these things than most people realize. I am not familiar with working on bankruptcies in my professional capacity, but I can imagine. As far as the owner being short on the phone, he was, but I can tell you that some of the best attorneys I know are some of the most intimidating, straight to the point people. I prefer it that way. Just give it to me straight and give me the answer. But I’m also someone who takes responsibility for myself, so if you misunderstood something or needed clarity, don’t blame it entirely on a business and submit bad reviews which are potentially damaging to them. Just my two cents. I’ve spoken to Nick twice now and while he is pretty to the point, he still took a moment to answer my questions. Be reminded that he’s a business owner and has a lot of clients to serve, and has a lot of experience in the field. So, let him do his part, and you do your part (which includes reading everything and having a clear understanding of what you’re signing) and no one has to be upset. Win/Win!
