Negin dedicates herself to practicing criminal law and professional licensing defense throughout the state of California. Negin routinely defends the accused against all criminal charges including driving under the influence of drug and alcohol, domestic violence, child abuse and molestation, rape and sexual assault, robbery, and white-collar offenses. Amongst Negin’s noteworthy accomplishments are a hung jury and subsequent dismissal of a hit and run charge against a Los Angeles County firefighter, a hung jury and subsequent dismissal of assault with a deadly weapon charges against a San Bernardino County nurse, a swift 15-minute jury acquittal on pimping and pandering and prostitution charges arising out of a Los Angeles County under-cover prostitution sting operation, dismissal of all transportation and sale charges against a member of a marijuana collective, and dismissal of all theft charges at preliminary hearing against a Los Angeles County employee. These victories—amongst Negin’s extensive record of reduced-sentences, dismissals, and favorable dispositions in a range of matters—showcase Negin’s tenacity, strategic and thorough mounting of a defense from the very inception of a case, and meticulous and aggressive lawyering.

Very dissatisfied
We hired Negin to represent our son who was being charged for a felony, she assured us that she would get it dropped to misdemeanor. After not showing up for three court dates and postponing the judge intervened and said she needed the case finalized. Negin sent her assistant to court to do what sh...
Mary, I am very sorry that you had a negative experience with my office. I can understand the frustration that you felt about how long the case took to resolve, and I can also understand how zealously you have advocated on behalf of your son. Cases often take long to resolve, and your son's case was a particularly challenging and difficult one. From the get go, the stakes were high for him. I worked extremely hard to accomplish an outcome that not only was the best outcome I could have accomplished, but that both you and him were extremely satisfied with. And that took a lot of time. I carefully strategized the case, put together a compelling mitigation packet on behalf of your son, litigated vigorously with the prosecution to prevent jail time and a felony (both of which I successfully accomplished despite the odds), and held his hand every step of the way throughout the process. Every time you or him contacted me, I was available to answer questions. My office showed up to court every single time. It is not uncommon for attorneys of record to send associates or lawyers associated with their firm to court for routine continuances. Trial attorneys, such as myself, often get engaged in trials, and for that reason, the courts allow associates to stand in for us. On days when I was engaged in another trial, I did not send an assistant to court. I sent an experienced attorney who handles cases for my office and who was very knowledgeable about your son's case. This individual was extremely competent and professional. Regardless of whether I or an associate was present at each court date, I answered all of your son's questions at all times. I negotiated with the prosecution. I resolved the case and accomplished an outcome that your son wanted. The case successfully resolved because of my efforts and relentlessness. The last hearing was for your son to show proof of restitution. All other obligations were done and the case was otherwise resolved. I appeared virtually--a fact disclosed to your son and a non-issue. Lawyers often appear virtually on not just routine requests for continuances but on simple progress reports. Virtual appearances on routine matters, such as submission of documents, are what the courts allow (and some judges even encourage) in the aftermath of Covid and for efficiency reasons. Unfortunately, the courtroom was packed and the judge had a plethora of other cases to call before ours. Your son had to wait a few hours for his case to be called, and so did I. This delay was not in my control but I can understand how much it frustrated you and your son. The case ultimately was called by noon, and all that needed to be done was done. Your son walked out of the courtroom with a great outcome. I work hard for my clients and I get results, as evidenced by the 100 plus reviews on this site. Unfortunately, the system is not perfect. Results are not accomplished quickly. Cases are often not called right away and defendants have to wait. As defense attorneys, we often get blamed for imperfections in the system that are completely out of our control and not of our own doing in any way. Ultimately, I promised your son I would do everything I could to deliver a certain outcome, and that precise outcome is what I delivered.

Negin Yamini had very poor communication and demonstrated shocking behavior - please read
I have struggled with the feelings that led to this review for entire years, as Negin Yamini represented me all the way back in 2018. It was the worst experience of my life. I had left a review back in 2019, but as was the case with several other former clients, Negin asked me to remove my review ...
Richard, I can understand the pressure and strain that these allegations have had on you, your marriage, and personal life. I can also understand the emotional turmoil that you have undergone both while these allegations were pending and in their aftermath. I take every client's concerns regarding my performance very seriously, and try my best to address them. I readily admit fault when I know I have failed my client in any way. However, I will defend myself against accusations that are outright false or baseless. I represented you when you were under investigation, as you yourself have noted. Because of my advocacy and skilled representation, ultimately no charges were filed against you. Throughout the course of my representation, you frequently called and emailed, including after hours and on weekends. At times, days or weeks would go by without any developments in your case, but at no point were your calls or attempts to contact me ignored. Every single call and email, including those made on weekends, were returned. I have all the phone logs and emails. Additionally, I made time to meet you in my office on numerous occasions to alleviate your anxiety and explain the process, and the reason why speaking to the detectives would not be in your best interest. Because of my strategy and constant communication with the detective assigned to your case, no charges were filed. If I truly wanted to scam you or had the intention to prolong the case to make more money, I wouldn't have tried so hard to prevent charges from getting filed against you. Despite getting the ultimate outcome--no charges being filed--and securing your freedom, you proceeded to post a review three years ago, which contained the same exact allegations as in this review. I called you to try to address your grievances and tried my best to make sure you did not walk away with any misunderstandings as to what I had done for you. It was clear to me then that you were still suffering from the shock and trauma of living through months and months of a police investigation. The conversation turned out very cordial, with YOU apologizing for posting the review and YOU agreeing to remove it. We ended the conversation with you thanking me for reaching out. You and I have had zero contact since this conversation. Then, three years later, out of the blue, you post the same exact review. It is not clear to me why, but what does occur to me is that you are understandably still upset and traumatized by the horrible experience of this police investigation and the subsequent impact it had on your personal life, and I seem to still be the object of your frustration. Your feelings notwithstanding, the fact remains that your freedom was secured precisely because of my constant communication with the detective, rigorous advocacy, and skilled counseling and representation.
