Alexander Burnaby Trueblood

I called on November 16th for a free consultation as was advertised on his website. I called again mid December. No response to either call. So on December 27th I leave a 1 star Google review for the lack of follow up. He responds that he didn't call back because I had a Wisconsin number. So o...n December 28th at approximately 9:30 am I called and he picked up and I let him know that many people from Wisconsin live in California and keep their numbers and that the professional thing to do is to call back. He asks if I called just to berate him. I said no I wanted a free consultation. He said he refused to give me a consultation because I left a 1 star review on Google. I told him that opinions can change but that it was on him to change them. He then accused me of extortion (although no money was discussed) and said $#%@ you and hung up. First off it's not my fault he made an ignorant assumption that I lived in Wisconsin so blew off two calls over a month and a half. Any decent attorney would understand why that would make someone upset and attempt to turn it around. But not Mr. Trueblood. He doubled down on his lack of professionalism with profanity before hanging up and never offering that free consultation. I would stay far away. NOTE: This review has all factual basis necessary to support the accusation. I also filed a bar complaint however they said that using profanity doesn't violate their code of conduct so denied it. But not based on it not being factual.

Mr. Trueblood is truly an expert when it comes to defending against unfair Debt Collection. He is professional, honest and takes his time to answer questions and concerns. Not only was I sued in the wrong state, but service was bad also. Mr. Trueblood was able to settle out of court and have the ca...se dismissed as well as have all attorney fees returned to me. I would highly recommend Mr. Trueblood to anyone getting sued unfairly for debt collection. He is truly an attorney who cares about the consumer!! Thank you Mr. Trueblood!!

Alec (Alexander) is truly a breath of fresh air within the legal arena. In 2012 I approached Alec with a problem in regards to a vehicle repossession which I felt was unjust and unfair. Overall I would say that Alec is the most trustworthy and honest attorney I have ever met, he really does fight the fight and goes the extra mile to make things happen. This is a long overdue review that should have been done two months ago, but due to stress and school, I haven't been able to find the time, which is unfortunate, because Mr. Trueblood is an excellent lawyer. About a year and a half ago, I needed a lawyer ASAP because a big well known bill collector ...had been harassing my mother about a credit card debt that she did not owe. They had been harassing my mother for so long that it got to the point where they had tried to sue her, and she was frightened. It's really hard to find reviews on lawyers, unlike how you would find reviews on Yelp for other things, but there was three reviews on Mr. Trueblood that made me trust him. In addition, as soon as I contacted him, with his knowledge and experience, he assured us that the case would most likely not got to trial due to the lack of evidence, he filed the proper documents, and he pushed the debt collectors to prove that my mother indeed owed them, but they never found the proper evidence, and the case was abruptly dropped. I am truly grateful that I was able to find Mr. Trueblood.
