I came to this country only for one reason, to study. After this, I had planned to return to my country Peru. But the American land captivated me and eventually decided to stay here. I made a big mistake, by living with a roommate who I didn't know well at all. My roomate had his own problems, an...d as a result, on the morning of November 27th 2006. my life would change for ever. Immigration came to my house looking for my roommate with a deportation order. I was taken in with him too. I was arrested without hope as i awaited deportation back to my country of Peru. My uncle assisted me to find and contact David Paz Soldan who essentially rescued me from being deported. I will never forget the day I saw him for the first time. David was my last chance, but he came through with flying colors. Although the struggle was hard, David prevented me from being deported and literally got me down from the plane.
