Biography
Mr. Hanratty obtained a degree in Chemistry with a minor in Biochemistry with honors from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in December 1997. After obtaining a scholarship in May 1998, Mr. Hanratty attended Whittier Law School in Costa Mesa, California. In May 2001, Mr. Hanratty obtained his Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree (Cum Laude) from Whittier Law School where he finished in the top 12% of his class of over 200 candidates. Mr. Hanratty also received Whittier Law School’s Intellectual Property Certificate for course work in the areas of Trademarks, Copyrights, Patents, and Trade Secrets.
Mr. Hanratty has been a member of the Nevada Bar and has practiced in Las Vegas, Nevada since October 2001. Mr. Hanratty initially worked for a Large Insurance Defense Firm where he concentrated on all aspects of civil litigation including catastrophic personal injury, real estate litigation, contract litigation, landlord/tenant disputes, evictions, and business/corporate/LLC disputes. It was during this time, Mr. Hanratty gained invaluable knowledge of the tactics of the insurance companies in defending personal injury lawsuits. Thereafter, Mr. Hanratty determined to represent those less fortunate individuals that are significantly injured due to the another parties negligence.
As a direct result in December 2003, Mr. Hanratty decided to focus his practice to represent persons injured in accidents including auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip and falls, drunk driver collisions, wrongful death claims, uninsured/underinsured claims, pedestrian/automobile accidents, bike/automobile accidents, dog bites/dog attacks, defective products, truck accidents, and serious and catastrophic injuries.
