It took me a year to call a lawyer again because I had a bad experience with a previous consultation with another lawyer. It wasn’t about the lawyer’s fee, but about respect. To me, understanding & respect are the key and Mr. Severino gave me that. I’m glad I called his law office because he and h...is staff has understanding & respect toward their clients. The only worry I had was speaking with the trustee because I read an article about Trustees that claimed they are very intimidating, and often mean! However, my experience with Ms. Shelley wasn’t bad at all, to be honest. She is very kind, respectful & understanding. I had an initial consultation with Erik Severino, Esq., several years ago while trying to acquire information on bankruptcy procedures and what I would need to do if the need indeed arose. After our initial consultation, I left his office with a positive feeling. Bankruptcy was the last option I was... considering given my financial situation, but the day did come when it was my only option.
