Very Poor Attorney

Retained Anderson for 1500 dollars on a house foreclosure . He simply did not know what he was doing. Wishing 4 days of the initial retainer He wanted more money. with in two weeks he had harassed me for money and was sending me additional bills before 3 weeks has elapsed. When I would not meet h...is demands for more and more money he began threatening me. Further he wanted me to settle the case when he saw I would not keep paying him Blindly. The Settlement he proposed was really bad. He wanted me to get the house back and leave two lawsuits on outstanding. I fired him settle all 3 matters myself and made an extra 32,000 dollars. I would never hire such a person again.

Professional and courteous

Karl was always professional and courteous. He even talked to my soon to ex one the phone and answered his questions. He helped with problems I had concerning the paperwork and moving to a different state. Would not hesitate to hire him again.

Please beware of this attorney!! I would NOT trust him with your child custody case.

I hired Karl to help with a child custody case. When I consulted with him, I explained my situation and he felt I had a good case and was eager to help. I know with these types of situations the outcome can't be promised, but at the very least I wanted a fair fight. I did a lot of leg work and provid...ed so much evidence to prove my case. I tried my best to stay on top of my case, but communication is NOT easy with him. He is not good at all with returning calls or takes a while responding to you most of the time. Although frustrating, I trusted that he was working hard to build my case. His arguments on paper sound really good, but I wish his court performance matched. It took 7 months to get to trial, and throughout this time I had several motions in front of a judge. Each time, Karl did NOT do good job at all defending me. He did not speak up for me and always let the opposing attorney ask for the sun, moon, and stars for his client. Each time they walked away with some kind of victory. I would complain and explain to Karl how he can't let the other attorney bully and run us over, but he assured me at trial was the time to get aggressive. At trial, in the very beginning, the judge became extremely upset with Karl. Karl never would get to his point, he kept asking questions inappropriately, and did not know how to navigate through his own binder of evidence. The judge had to stop the trial and take Karl to the back to reprimand him! He comes back even more flustered, continued to ask questions inappropriately, then just gave up all together! My child's father got on the stand and told story after story that weren't true. Karl had evidence to prove him as a liar, but NEVER NOT ONCE did he question or object to his testimony's throughout the entire trial. Karl had a binder of evidence he assembled himself, and did not know where anything was! The other attorney had to help him find whatever it was he was looking for. He printed pictures that were importance evidence in black and white and were unclear. They were so bad the judge refused to admit them into evidence. I can go on and on, but hopefully it's enough to prove my point. Of course we lost and lost miserably. Full custody and child support was awarded to the father. The father is unemployed, only was in our child's life for one year out of seven, doesn't comply with court orders, has a domestic violence history, etc. somehow he won ALL the factors NV uses to determine custody. What is even more ridiculous is that my child's father did not really have any evidence at all. The judge just took his word. The picture him and his attorney pained of me was so false and Karl had no words and never even said anything positive about me nor did he ask me the correct questions to bring light to our case. Because of the poor job Karl did, I was able to bring my case to another attorney and have another hearing to have my case reviewed again. He missed doing several things that could have helped me, he let the other attorney run all over him throughout the entire process, he is afraid to be in front of a judge, his communication is poor, he does things without consulting you first, does not follow up with you. I am so disappointed with him I can't even express it in words. If Karl had put up a real fight and I had lost, I would have still been heartbroken, but I could have accepted it better. It's more upsetting that I didn't really get a fight in court, I was so embarrassed with his performance, he NEVER spoke up for me and the other attorney and my child's father pretty much bullied me. I almost want to believe this is a joke, maybe he accepted a bribe- I don't get it. If your case means anything to you, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE look elsewhere.
