Most bankruptcy attorneys know the process from one side of the table. Dan Riggs has seen it from both. Before founding the Riggs Law Firm, Dan spent more than a decade as the senior attorney to a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee in Nevada — one of the most demanding and consequential roles in the federal bankruptcy system.
That position placed Dan at the center of how Nevada's bankruptcy system actually works. He helped author the Nevada Plan Form — the standardized document that governs how Chapter 13 repayment plans are structured across the state. He was a driving force behind the establishment of the Nevada Mortgage Modification Program, which has helped countless homeowners restructure mortgage debt and save their homes through bankruptcy. He litigated bankruptcy appeals at the federal level and personally conducted thousands of 341 meetings of creditors — the same hearings his clients now walk into with him by their side. That insider knowledge is rare, and it changes how Dan approaches every case.
Dan earned his law degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV — Nevada's only public law school — and was admitted to practice law in 2011. He is licensed to practice in both Nevada and Utah, and is a member of the State Bar of Nevada and the State Bar of Utah.
Dan founded the Riggs Law Firm on a straightforward belief: financial hardship is not a character flaw. Job losses, medical crises, divorce, and unexpected setbacks can push anyone to the edge — regardless of how hard they've worked or how carefully they've planned. Dan brings an honest, nonjudgmental approach to every client relationship. That means straight answers, not sales pitches. The Riggs Law Firm handles all the paperwork from start to finish — pulling your credit report, preparing the petition, and managing every filing requirement — so you never face this process alone. Appointments are available in-person or online, with evening hours available for clients who can't step away during business hours.

Great attorney
Easy from start to finish. The Riggs Law Firm was great to work with and made the process simple for us. I am so glad that we hired them. At the 341 meeting, the trustee even commented on how well the scheduled had been done. If you want a smooth bankruptcy case hire this firm.
