my divorce lawyer and child custody battle.

Michael is a very professional lawyer. He help me fight a child custody battle against my ex wife who doesn't want me to see my kid for a very long time. He got me a 50 50 custody which I was very happy and got me the time that my ex wife was not willing to give to me. He is very communicative and he... treated me and his staff as priority. Thank you so much for your help I really appreciated it. I highly recommended him to all people going through divorce and child custody.

Excellent Advocate

Michael is very knowledgeable about family law. He listens and assesses every case and is honest about the law and what the probably outcomes are. I am very pleased that helped with my custody case and would not hesitate to go to him in the future.

Child Support/Custody

Prior to finding Michael Burton I was very scared, stressed out after being served Custody/Child Support papers. I’d never had to go through hiring a Lawyer for court issues. The thought alone was overwhelming a long with no clue as to what the future held. As a parent I wanted the best for my kid.... My first encounter to begin the process started when I spoke with a lady that works in Michael Burton’s front office. She was totally amazing! I remember expressing to her my fear and lack of knowledge of the process and she listened and her words of encouragement, patience and guidance step by step put me at peace. She was beyond professional each time I made contact through her. My first face to face meeting with Michael Burton was a sigh of relief. When I shook his hand I felt a presence of a genuine guy who wanted to help. He listened to me, answered all my questions and concerns extremely throughly. Listening to him, he knew exactly how to handle my case. Immediately, I knew I was in perfect hands. My fear, and stress was no longer a factor. Because of Michael he helped me over achieve the outcome I desired. I can’t thank him enough for all his help. I would highly recommend Michael Burton as a lawyer, his knowledge of the law is outstanding and he really cares about justice.

Hi, I would like to reach out to anyone looking for a great lawyer and tell them about Michael Burton and his team at the McFarling Law group. Michael and the McFarling Group have been my lawyers for the past two years. Before they took on my case, I had been fighting for custody of my child for many... years, at first on my own, and later with another lawyer, with little success. When I first contacted Michael and his team, I had recently lost and felt I had no where left to turn. I believed in my heart that the decision that was handed down by the court was wrong and that court had not taken in to account the seriousness of the situation that my child was living in. Michael and the McFarling Group took the time to review my case and agreed to take me on as a client. They first took on my case as an appeals case, taking my case to the Supreme Court of Nevada. I am so happy to tell you that it was through their knowledge of the law and of my case, that they were successful and we won the appeal. Michael Burton and the McFarling team quoted case law to the Supreme Court that they felt should have been the case law used at my hearing , but was not. The Supreme Court agreed that not using the case law Michael quoted, was the reason that the judge at my last hearing had not considered some of the evidence that might have changed the result of the hearing. The Supreme Court agreed that the Family Court should take another look at my case and this time considered evidence that had not been considered at my past hearing. This allowed Michael Burton and The McFarling Group to be able to take the matter back to the Family court and have a chance at a new hearing being grant, which is exactly what happened. I was granted a new hearing, and this time the judge agreed to consider evidence not previously considered, as well as some limited new evidence. As a mother I can not even tell you how relieved and happy I was with the job Michael Burton and the McFarling Group had done for me just up to this point. Over the next several months Michael worked diligently on my case, preparing motions for the court and talking with me about my case and it's history. By the time the hearing arrived, I realized that Michael knew my case inside and out and was very well prepared. For the first time in a very long time, I really let myself hope and believe that things were finally going to work out and that I had a real chance at the court finally seeing the truth. At the hearing Michael did not let me down, the professional manner in which he conducted himself, his knowledge of the law and of the history of my case shone through in court. Michael proved to the court, through the evidence he presented on my behalf, and testimony he gained from witnesses, that my ex had been lying to the court for many years. The result of that hearing was that we won, and the judge overturned the previous decision, now granting me primary custody of my child. I am so very grateful to Michael Burton and the McFarling Group for agreeing to take on my case and represent me in this matter. I can not thank them enough for the incredible job they did handling my case, or for the kindness and caring they showed me throughout the process. I now get to watch my child smile everyday and know he will have a great life. I feel that when you hire Michael Burton and The McFarling Group, you are not only hiring outstanding lawyers, but you are also hiring lawyers who really care about you, and about seeing that truth and justice prevail in the end. I would highly recommend Michael Burton to anyone looking for a lawyer, and in my experience, he is not only a great lawyer but someone who cares.
