I hired him on OCT 06,2022. After paid $2000 to him. I uploaded my case documents through the link he gave me. When I emailed him about if he received my documents or not, no any response from him or his assistant or anyone from his firm! And I called the firm, the receptionist didn't give me his num...ber and the number of any other lawyers who might reviewed my case. No one asked me about the whole story about the statement in the case. No single question about my case. Never did a mock questioning! Never discussed the strategy on how to defend myself! The receptionist told me they will set up a zoom meeting before hearing !However ! NO ONE contacted me on that day! The whole firm and the lawyers are joke ! Don't waste your money for someone who never cares about your case, and never ever had a solution for your defends!

If you’re going to hire this guy make sure you write down all your concerns and questions so you can remember to ask ALL of them at the initial consultation. Once you sign that contract and hand over your hard earned money, he isn’t so quick to actually work for it anymore. The most work you will l...ikely get from this attorney is BEFORE you pay him. After that your calls, texts and emails will go unanswered, requests will be blatantly ignored. You probably won’t even meet him until he shows up in court ... IF he shows up. And don’t expect him to actually fight for you or put your best interests above his own. He’s a lawyer, not a super hero. He doesn’t care about you or your family or seeing that justice is served. His only concern is his bottom line.... maximum payout with minimal effort. Just because they know the law doesn’t mean they live by it, remember that. Real talk... this clown is about as useful as a poopy flavored lollipop. Completely useless. I could have saved my money and represented myself and got the same deal, he literally did nothing. I’ll be in line with the others he’s ripped off in filing complaints with the NV State Bar Assoc. and I’ll see you in small claims court Mr. Sheets.

Does not take cases seriously due to high volume. Initially, you can reach Damian because he is looking for to retain you. After that, you will have go thru his rude secretaries to relay messages that will surely go unresponded. Without diving into specific details, he forgot to call me prior to my c...ourt date. He ignored over 30 messages I sent to him between email and texts. He lied about changing his number when approached. He plays dumb when confronted and gives advice that conflicts with more seasoned attorneys. Will be reporting to the Bar. As far as results, he will do what's convenient for him and not go all the way with bargaining with prosecutors. He will take first deal handed to him and then convince you (thru his secretaries) that this was the best viable option. Please consider another attorney in handling your life changing matter.

I hired this lawyer several years ago after getting arrested for a DUI with a low BAC (lower than .10) and no accident. I saw that he was featured in a magazine as one of the "Legal Elite: Top 20 Best & Upcoming Lawyers" in Nevada. I really do not know how he got on that list and what the qualificati...ons were, I am curious though. I will attempt to limit the specific details of the situation I had to endure in order to protect my own identity. My first encounter with Mr. Sheets consisted of him basically attempting to promises he was later not even close to fulfilling. In addition to representing me in court, the retainer fee I paid in full also included him representing me at a DMV hearing to contest revocation of my driver's license. I received a letter in the mail from his office indicating where and when the hearing would be & that I have a choice of attending the hearing if I would like to BUT it was not required. Well I'm glad to say I decided to attend because I showed up to the hearing 10 minutes early and Mr. Sheets was nowhere to be found. Although the arresting police officer was there wearing a suit and tie with a huge smile across his face. So the hearing is about to start and Mr. Sheets is still missing so I decide to call his office. I told the front desk receptionist the situation and she replies with, "You are not Damian's only client, he is at another hearing right now across town representing another client and he can't be in two places at once honey." I was in complete shock. Once I got off the phone with his exceptional legal team, I decided to go into the room where the hearing was being held. I informed the judge of the situation and she said she will give him 5 more minutes to arrive or else she would proceed without him regardless. After the hearing was over he calls me and of course at this point I'm furious but I knew I had to remain calm because he was still representing me for the DUI. Long story short, he did not show up to not even one of my THREE court hearings (only his partner whom I was not acquainted with) and was unable to get my charge reduced down even with my BAC being considerably low. The meetings I had face to face with him were extremely informal, each time I came in he forgot what I was being charged with (really?), I was barely kept informed of the status of my case except for generic letters being sent in the mail telling me when my next court date was (which I could have just looked up online), and that the majority of our conversations involved him talking about his other clients with more important cases he was dealing with at the time, assuming that I was the least bit interested. Overall it was by far the most aggravating, stressful, and relentless experiences I have ever gone through in my life. It's quite sad to say and difficult to admit, but I honestly think being his client had more of an impact on me to never in my life want to get arrested again, than the actual arrest itself in addition to the court ordered classes I had to attend and the fines I had to pay. I've heard many people that have had not so favorable experiences such as mine and that they would have been better off with a public defender or just defending themselves. In this particular situation I can sincerely say without a doubt that I believe I would have been better off representing myself or just pleading no contest. Worst experience I've had in my entire life.
