Michael Ashford Johnson

I have used Michael Johnson as an Attorney for close to 10 years, and I'm not sure why I see the bad reviews. Michael has always been honest with me and does not beat around the bush. He has helped me navigate numerous tough situations with my Ex, and I would recommend him to anyone dealing with a ...challenging legal matter. His Legal Assistant Krystal is super helpful and has been there for me a lot, too. Michael will not tell you what you want to hear; he will tell you what you need to hear.

Every time Michael called, he asked me the same info questions about my case. He never writes anything down and has no memory. He does what he wants and does not listen to what you want telling you you got a good deal. Called me more times asking for more money than he did work on my case! Avoid this... guy, he's got cheap rates for a reason!

I have dealt with Michael for almost a year and a half and have been completely dissatisfied with his services. He does not care about his clients whatsoever and is simple an expensive email forwarder that never listens to what you have to say. On numerous occasions I have had to re-give information ...I already gave him or re-explain something we already talked about and I would get charged for having to explain myself a second and sometimes third time. I understand that this a business but he is really only about the money and trying to squeeze you for as much as he can. The only thing he could ever remember was to remind you of your balance that you owed. I only stuck with him as long as I did because I felt I was too invested in him to jump ship. 8-10 thousand dollars later I have nothing from him to show for it except a depleted bank account. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from him as possible. Best case scenario is that he represents the other party in your case automatically giving you the leg up.

Let me start off be saying that Michael is one of only two family law attorneys in Tucson with whom I consulted who treated me, a potential client, with dignity and respect. He actually took the time to thoroughly familiarize himself with the details of my case, developed a strategic resolution to my case that benefited both parties involved while providing me as his client with the most optimal long-term benefits possible in today's legal environment, and negotiated a resolution with my ex-wife's attorney that avoided what could have been a lengthy and potentially costly court trial. Divorce is often a costly and painful process for both parties. While my own case was relatively straightforward and uncomplicated (no minor children involved and no serious issues concerning property division), Michael's dedication to the case and his expertise in facilitating its quick resolution at a very reasonable cost provided me with what I can only say was one of the of most worthwhile legal investments I have made to date. I cannot recommend highly enough Michael's services to anyone requiring a family law attorney. You will be served by one of the best in the business!
