Edina is a Tucson native, a University of Arizona Alumna, and has been in practice since 2002 and with The McCarthy Law Firm since 2009. Edina practices exclusively in the area of family law and is a State-Bar Certified Family Law Specialist.
Edina’s objective in all of her cases is to help her clients move through the emotionally turbulent process of re arranging their family dynamics with as much grace, dignity and respect as possible.
While Edina practices traditional family law (litigation), she is also well-versed in the Collaborative Divorce Method (www.divorcewisely.com), and is a trained mediator. With this depth of training and experience, Edina can help identify the path that is best suited to your unique circumstances since no two cases or families are exactly alike, and every client deserves and receives personalized attention.
Edina’s passion is in ensuring healthy, strong families post-separation, and, therefore, she concentrates a substantial portion of her practice in the area of children’s issues (legal decision making, parenting time, child support, relocation) although Edina also handles the full range of dissolution of marriage and financial issues (spousal maintenance, retirement division, asset/debt division). Edina also serves on as a Parenting Coordinator, Best Interests Attorney and Child’s Attorney.
Edina’s community involvement includes the following: past volunteer with the Volunteer Lawyers Program, a member of the World Care Board of Directors for several years, and member of Tucson Sunrise Rotary from 2003-2009. Currently Edina is a financial supporter of Step Up 2 Justice and volunteers with Ben’s Bells.
Edina’s professional endeavors include developing and presenting (with colleagues) multiple Continuing Legal Education seminars for the Arizona State Bar, Arizona Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AzAFCC), and the Pima County Bar.
Outside the law, Edina regularly practices yoga, enjoys hiking, winter sports, travel, and is an animal-lover who is often found in the company of her Australian Shepherd, Bailey.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
I have gotten to know Edina as opposing counsel on several cases and have also been a co-presenter with her at seminars. Edina is hard-working, ethical and knowledgeable. She strives to reach non-trial resolutions for her clients when possible and is an effective litigator when necessary. She has a strong commitment to the best interest of children and emphases this in her practice. I highly recommend her.
