There were substantial mistakes made by my attorney Heidi Davis, that put myself and my children's safety at risk and caused significant financial hardship. Critical issues were overlooked/ignored, she refused to use important evidence and documents, failed to adequately address extremely important n...eeds and issues to the court. Heidi would ignore my emails but still charge me for reading them, she was late to meetings and forgot about the same meeting twice. Not only were there neglect and incompetence, but she was also just plain rude when I pointed out her mistakes. Fraudulent billing was excessive, I alerted Alyssa of thousands of dollars of mistakes on ONE bill that can be proven by court records, and her reply was to offer me a small discount. I strongly warn and discourage anyone who is considering working with Heidi or Genesis Legal group as I have also not heard back from the owners.

I hired Heidi last minute a week before my trial. I had a previous attorney and she was not a good fit. I was recommend Heidi through a women’s event. She worked fast for my case and last minute. She was professional to the point and compassionate. I did not feel judge and she was honest & direct. Sh...e put my case and story so well for trial I was very amazed of her calmness and confidence for trial. She was professional and I got more then what I asked for. She really fights for you and is just so amazing I was impressed. The judge made a ruling right from the bench in my favor!

Our initial assessment was that Heidi Davis was a go-getter, extremely knowledgeable in her area of expertise, but most of all, it seemed she actually cared. Heidi talked about obtaining records for us from DCS, and we repeatedly asked if this was completed, what the results were etc. Several of ou...r emails went from being answered in a much delayed fashion because "her assistant was in a car accident", then to just plain ignoring us. Heidi did show up to court as promised, as she was well compensated per our contract to do. The 2nd court appearance, we were unable to attend and informed Heidi. We were told, "No problem, I will call you after court, let you know what the outcome was, and email you." Several days and weeks later, we never even received an account of what happened. So we paid her to go to court in October, but have zero report of what the outcome was, and it is now March. We were told we needed to make a follow up appointment, and after leaving several emails and voice messages, I got ONE call back weeks later. Her assistant tried to say ahe had been unable to get a hold of us. My husband hounded the office repeatedly for an answer to a simple question. Heidi tried calling us from out of town the weekend of March 3, but then cryptically, on March 5, we were told the office had "closed our account AS WE REQUESTED, and she was refunding apprx $6k of the $10k retainer. Huh? If you need a knowledgeable attorney, Heidi is the probably the best there is. However, her office staff and her ability to communicate effectively and in a reasonable time... the record speaks for itself. Just wishing we had answers to the questions we asked from October 2017 through March 2018 when our account was inactivated. Child custody is a very traumatic and emotional time, and clients should be able to rely on the paid professionals. If you do hire Heidi, our recommendation is to add response times from her staff to your contract before forking over thousands.
