Cristi McMurdie has consistently provided exceptional representation for her clients since 1995. Cristi is the President and sole partner of the Tempe-based McMurdie Law Office, PC, WHYMediate Mediation Services and WHYCOACH Coaching Services. The major focus of McMurdie Law is to provide exceptional full representation, expert conflict resolution, mediation and limited scope representation in the family law arena.

Training: Cristi McMurdie graduated from Arizona State University College of Law in 1992, passing the Arizona Attorney bar examination with her peers. After practicing insurance defense for three years, Ms. McMurdie began her own family law practice. Ms. McMurdie was drawn to mediation as a way for families to navigate through the legal system, reaching the same result and with less strife, conserving costs and sometimes preserving co-parenting relationships. Ms. McMurdie attends annual mediation trainings to stay current, in addition to continuing legal courses that are required by the Arizona Bar of Attorneys.

Once trained in mediation in 1997, McMurdie Law initially offered mediation by subsidiary A1Mediation Services. In 2014, A1Mediation Services was renamed to WHYmediate Mediation Services when Cristi McMurdie became a certified WHY coaching augments mediation with your complimentary WHY discovery,to assist in deepening communication to help the mediation process. Cristi McMurdie has been a consistent member of the Arizona Bar since 1993, a member of the local mediators group – Maricopa County Association of Family Mediators (MCAFM) since 1997, and is a certified business and life coach by the Adler School of Professional Coaching(2004), Marcia Weider’s Dream University for individuals and Groups(2006), and since 2014, aWHYCoach. McMurdie’s coaching training is very helpful in mediation.

Cristi McMurdie is a member of professional associations, including Eliances, a group of more than 800+ talented local entrepreneurs that share knowledge and business ideas, and the Sisterhood of Happiness, a group of professional women who value relationships with business, the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), and also two distinct local attorney groups who give one another assistance on legal matters and referrals.

Community: Cristi McMurdie is an active member of the Tempe, Ahwatukee, and Chandler Chamber of Commerce and has built a referral based practice in the areas of law, mediation, and coaching.

Family: Cristi McMurdie’s adult sons are thriving in life and living with their families in San Francisco and Seattle after they obtained their PhDs from Stanford and University of Washington.
