I do not usually leave reviews but in this case, I am going to because I feel so much gratitude for the help and guidance we received from Mr Horan at Horan Law Offices. I telephonically interviewed three attorneys before deciding to retain Mr. Horan. I did my research on each attorney before speak...ing to them on the phone because I wanted to do my due diligence before hearing their pitches. There were three factors that guided our decision to choose Mr. Horan. 1) Our independent research, 2) A recommendation from a trusted attorney in another field, and 3) The initial phone call with Mr. Horan. He came across very professionally and spoke factually and realistically about our case. He even offered us advice and guidance if we were to go with another attorney (I found that to be a sign of good character). There was no “ambulance chaser” or “used car salesman” approach with him. He did not build false hope or lead us down a path that was not based in reality. We are not gamblers and did not want to hear nonsense that had a low probability of occurring or would just build false hopes. As our attorney/client relationship grew, I found Mr. Horan to be knowledgeable about the law as it would be applied to our case. His experience in the matter really showed through (this was not his first rodeo, and his experience really was a blessing for us). Not only does he know how to navigate the legal system, but he was also equally competent in explaining it to us in layman terms. This was our first experience with the criminal justice system as a defendant. He was able to explain and educate us every step of the way during this unfortunate journey and was always available to field questions, which we had many. Almost all conversations ended with him saying to call him if we had any questions. Mr. Horan always made himself available to us and communicated well with phone calls and emails. As busy as he is, Mr. Horan found time to reach out to us, sometimes after normal working hours, even if it was to just let us know he would be getting back to us the next day. We were never left “hanging” wondering if he received our call or email. Brisa in the office was equally as helpful in keeping the lines of communication flowing. Mr. Horan’s advice and experience was critical in getting the desired result at the end of our case. The outcome for us was better than we expected. I feel confident that a lessor experienced attorney would not have attained as favorable an outcome. All that aside, I found Mr. Horan to be a good man. He is kind, compassionate, understanding, and I believe he truly cared about us as people, not just clients. We also never felt ‘judged’ by him or his office. We were beyond satisfied with Mr. Horan’s services and would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a criminal defense attorney.
