Lost paperwork

Never work with these people. They lost my wife's permit paperwork and told me all I can do is wait to see if it maybe arrives. USPS tracking shows It was already delivered to their office. Totally incompetent. Nothing but excuses and insincere apologies. They claim to "understand" but really all we ...are to them is someone they can keep billing month in and month out. They don't care how they're unprofessionalism and incompetence effects people's lives.

HORRIBLE!

I would not recommend this law firm. They will lie to you and tell you that you have a chance of getting your residency so you pay crazy amounts of money but at the end when you get denied they tell you that there is nothing else they can do or give you another option to appeal the denial for thousan...ds more. I paid $5,500 for my case and they wanted to charge an additional $2000 for just a work permit and that's not even counting the immigration fees. When our case was denied they only returned $1000 back! Do not hire Maria Jones Law Firm, they are a mess, not helpful and you can find other lawyers that will at least tell you the truth and not steal from you.

Horrible Service

I strongly do NOT recommend Maria Jones mainly because her firm is not trustworthy. I Hired her approximately 6 years ago and she seemed like she wanted to help me, but as soon as I fell behind on a payment she went and submitted a request to the courts to change my court date within a month without ...notifying me. I had no idea she had changed my court date and she withdrew herself from representing me. Since my original court date was set up for a year later, I did not expect any problems until ICE showed up at my business to arrest me due to not showing to court. I almost got deported that same day because of this attorney sabotaging my case due to a payment being behind. It is a horrible feeling to hire someone who is supposed to help you, but instead all they care about is money. So as soon as they don't get all the money they will get you deported, or even if they get the money with these actions I'm lead to believe that she would of still not helped. Luckily I found a different attorney who was able to stop the deportation that same night when immigration arrested me. The judge allowed me to stay and continue to fight the case in the U.S. because it was clear that Maria Jones withdrew and changed my court date to a year before my original court date to affect my case. If I could give negative stars for this attorney's rating I would.

monetery interest only

On march 19,2014 i had a consultation with her assistants. They said they could help me and i was ready to start that same day (i had all my personal documents).I asked to start that same day,so they walked me to a different room where a young women gave me a contract for me to sign and as i was readi...ng the contract i had gave her my debit card to be charged a sum of $250 to begin the process.. she never explained the contract. I hadnt signed yet she had already charged me. I asked if she was gonna do my paperwork she said no, you will have to make an appointment . I had waited 3 weeks for the consultation. I told her i was changing my mind something didnt feel right. She began to convince me to give them a try and i wouldnt regret it! I agreed. I felt despret to begin. I decided I wanted to cancel because i went home feeling robbed.. the next appointment would take another month.. just waiting. so i called to cancel ,,,,,you need an appointment to cancel wich they gave me one the same week because someone canceled. I Spoke to some other lady and I explained my situation...Why i didnt want their services. She apologized and I just fell for it because I MET MARIA JONES. She promized to take care of our case if I stayed. I agreed to put everything on hold .. meanwhile I am searching for a lawyer... Im undecided on what to do since im a lil desperate! Best of luck to others!

horrible service

If I could give them no stars I would my experience with this firm was a nightmare. Very unprofessional, my phone calls and emails were never return, I was the one that follow up with the NVC, after a year of waiting and waiting because my file was put on the back burner I demanded to speak with my a...ttorney which at this point hadn't met yet and I was told she couldn't see me because I didn't have an appointment I threaten to go to the bar and file a complaint it was then when they decided she could meet with me . I can go on and on with everything that went wrong, needeless to say I fire them and went to a different firm. I demanded to get my money back and I was partially reimbursed but I had to wait for over a month to get my money. In my opinion this firm only cares about their finance and not their customers do your homework before you hire them and save yourself a lot of headaches.
