don't even know where to start! Shawnna Riggers and her team are incredible in every way! Even though I live on the other side of the country, she went out of her way to assist me with a guardianship case for my grandson who was originally from AZ. Although she initially felt I wouldn't need h...er services, she still gave her time and knowledge to guide me. She was so kind and understanding and went above and beyond to ease my concerns and make legal recommendations. I did eventually retain her services and she adjusted her fee (a significant reduction) based on what she thought I would need. After that, she ended up reimbursing most of the retainer. I would have paid her DOUBLE for the peace of mind that she provided for me...but she gave me my money BACK. She still reaches out to me to find out how the case is going in my state. This is a person (and team) who are ethical (yup, I said it...this LAWYER is ETHICAL) and truly concerned with doing the best for the families they represent. Do not hesitate to contact them! You won't regret it!

I do not recommend Shawnna Riggers. Please do your research on an attorney who will care about you, your child and your case and not only about the money. I hired her in 2016, she was paid up front and she only appeared to the initial hearing. She showed no real interest in my concerns but very agree...able with the opposite party. My case literally almost went downhill during her representation. I had to terminate with her representation because she was on vacation and had nothing prepared before the hearing but instead used the excuse "you won't be able afford my representation if we go further" only assuming. She was initially paid everything in full, even paid for calls I made to her in which she wasn't of any help to provide guidance or proper advice. Most of the representation, I felt alone and always looking for other attorneys advice. It was just the worst experience ever, specially when you're talking about your child. I'm glad I found another attorney who did care and my case ended in my favor. This attorney is just a waste of time and waste of money the only thing gained was stress.

Shawnna Riggers is a great lawyer and I was very impressed with her services. My case was very complicated and changed dramatically over its year long duration. Shawnna was very helpful and informative in letting me know what my options were and what she felt would be the best decisions. I never f...elt like Shawnna's advice was based off her own personal financial gain, but rather what was best for my child and me. Shawnna and her office put a lot of time and effort into my case and trial. She was always willing to do anything I suggested or alternative explain why she didn't feel something would bring enough value in comparison to the associated cost or fees. For the most part Shawnna was very proactive in meeting deadlines and she kept me apprised of important dates and timlines. Shawnna even went above and beyond by providing me with her personal cell phone contact when she was going to be away but knew it might be necessary for me to contact her. Shawnna's legal advice was overall very sound. She has a robust family law skill set and understanding, and was always willing to research or discuss options with her professional colleagues when she wasn't as familiar with a situation. She never overpromised and always let me know what I could realistically expect in any situation I was faced with. At times, I did feel like Shawnna and her staff were very reactive as opposed to proactive, especially when my case's deadlines were farther down the road. I would have liked for her to be a little more proactive in coming to me with suggestions of things we could do to counteract or best argue claims from the opposing party. A few times I found we thought of things we could do that would be very helpful, but by that time it was too late. While I appreciated Shawnna's willingness to let me do some of the leg work associated with my case to ensure I was incurring minimal attorney costs, as previously mentioned, there were times I felt like I was the one thinking of solutions or strategies when I would have liked for her to come to me with these suggestions instead. Unfortunately this did at times result in me feeling insecure that we were doing enough or the right things to ensure ta favorable outcome. However, these are very nit picky, limited and isolated feelings I had over the course of a very long, complex and overwhelmingly positive experience. Shawnna helped me successfully navigate the legal system and gave me sound advice when presented with some pretty crazy situations. Shawnna gracefully dealt with the multiple lawyers, changes and even absurd situations presented from the opposing party. In the end, Shawnna was able to secure everything requested to ensure the safety and well being of my child. I would definitely recommend her to others in my situation that need a trustworthy, balanced, friendly and skilled family law attorney.

Ms. Riggers is amazing! I have been with her now as a client for over a year. I have a very high stress case with a high stress ex. She is very compassionate and empathetic to what I have been through and currently going through. I never have a problem getting in touch with her or her wonderful offic...e staff. I always get my questions and concerns addressed in a timely fashion. Her turn around time on work is excellent. Ms. Riggers has been extremely knowledgeable, honest, very methodical and on point in every aspect of my case. She is persistent will take a stand with you for what is right.
