Having to deal with family court is extremely stressful and scary. We petitioned for parenting time & thought we'd be able to handle the process on our own. We couldn't have been more wrong & sought out legal assistance at the very last minute. I found Cantor Law Group utilizing Find Law's website. M...y partner went down for a consultation and spoke to a male attorney (sorry don't remember his name) who sold him on the law firm. Cantor Law also kind of just speaks for itself too. Everyone is so professional and presentable and seems to take pride in their company which I think speaks volumes. Rebekah Burz was assigned to our case and wasted no time getting to work. As I mentioned, we had waited until the VERY last minute to seek legal counsel (admittedly not the best choice) meaning Rebekah had even less time to review everything and prepare our case. Not once did she act annoyed about this nor did she let that slow her down from getting to know us, our hopes for our case, & going over realistic outcomes. She and her paralegals immediately filed our paperwork & kept us in the loop 100% of the time. She was so precise in her way of translating difficult law language to simplified verbiage. I just want to express extra gratification for that because family court is so scary, after all, these are the lives of our children and the outcome significantly affects the entire family. Throughout the back and forth between Rebekah (us) and opposing counsel, Rebekah met every deadline, immediately informed us of offers from opposing counsel and other information, and quickly drafted our offers and responses. Unfortunately, our case did end up in trial. Rebekah gave us the tools to prepare for trial, explained potential outcomes, and really showed up for us! She showed up to court early, she showed up to court very organized and extremely prepared to present our case. She is professional in her appearance and demeanor. She's aggressive but in a very matter of fact intelligent way. I understand someone else may be seeking an attorney who will "attack" the other party in such an aggressive way but the fact that Rebekah did not do that in our case was actually extremely important. We did not want to be in trial with the mother of my partners child. We did not want to destroy her in court or by any other means. We just wanted to present to the judge the facts our of case and reasoning behind seeking equal parenting time. Which is exactly what Rebekah did!! Even when opposing counsel (and mother) were giving her attitude, Rebekah was very composed and knowledgeable in her line of questioning and representation. Again, this was very important to us because trial was already terrifying and we didn't want to make it any worse. During trial, she asked meaningful and important questions of both parties. She was prepared with binders of documents, she never seemed confused (like opposing counsel did), and she was so confident! Rebekah handled our case with grace, understanding, and pride. She was fully involved in every aspect! The judge ruled in our favor and I truly believe that's because we were represented by such a well rounded and intelligent attorney. There is absolutely no way we would have gotten the same outcome on our own. Though the legal journey is expensive, Rebekah is 100% worth it!! If we had to do it all over again, we'd choose Cantor Law again, we'd choose Rebekah again. I honestly feel like this review can't even express the amount of gratitude we really have for her. We are so grateful and so relieved!! Rebekah presented to the judge so well that we got just about everything we asked for. Representation really matters!! Excellent representation matters even more!
