Strategic, Fierce, and Empathetic

I worked with Kristy over a period of a year and a half through divorce. She was highly strategic in planning and fierce in negotiating during mediations. She looked for opportunities to help me as her client in ways that I didn't clearly identify during the process but was afterward very grateful f...or. Above all, I'm thankful for the personal connection that I felt with Kristy, in how she listened thoughtfully and empathetically to my situation and wanted to do what was not only best for me, but, most importantly, what was best for our family--especially the children. Thanks, Kristy!

Best ever!

Kristy has been amazing through our 5 years of being her clients, she has helped us through 2 custody evaluations, has always given us amazing advice, has had ours and our children best interests at heart. She is straight forward, honest and most of all realistic on things that we have asked, tel...ling us that its not worth you spending your money to do this. One time in mediation as we were waiting she asked if she could work on another case and didn't charge us for the time! She could have not said anything and worked on the other case and charged both of us! She is honest and loyal in her dealings with clients. She let us know when she went on vacation when we had something active in our case and replied to emails that were pressing. I would highly recommend Kristy she is a great attorney she has always fought for the things that are important to us. Kristy has been such a big part of our lives and I appreciate her so much, I now find myself knitting her scarves for Christmas. I hope that one day my attorney battles will end, even if it is when my kids are 18, but I will always have a great respect for Kristy and what she has helped our family with.

Dedicated, Caring and Brilliant

Two years ago, I scheduled a consultation with Kristy. I was contemplating divorce, sadly, because my husband was addicted to pornography and drugs. His personality was completely altered because of the addictions. He no longer wanted to be a support to our family financially or emotionally. My c...hildren were confronted by unwanted images when they passed by his computer, and his lack of empathy was heartbreaking. I had tried for 8 years to work things out and see some kind of remorse or change, but when counseling and pleas of change made no difference, I went to talk to Kristy. She had been recommended to me by a realtor I was working with, but I basically knew nothing about her. I wasn't sure whether to pursue divorce or not, but even though there was no promise on my part of hiring her, she attentively listened, took careful notes and told me to come back in two weeks if things looked like I had no other option. I made a second appointment, hoping things would improve during that time. Before the two weeks were up, almost on Valentine's Day, my husband served me with divorce papers. I was devastated and scared and immediately called Kristy not knowing what to do. She was very kind, calmed me and said she would gladly help me. I have not only had the unique opportunity of having an attorney that was highly skilled in her knowledge of the law, but have gained a kind and wise friend who genuinely cared about me and my future. During the past two years, she has worked tirelessly on my case, trying to comfort me and give me hope when I felt there was none. She has listened, not only to my legal concerns, but she has given me invaluable service and advice for my future, the future of my children, and constant help and assistance. No matter when I texted her or emailed her, she responded with kindness and help regarding my situation. I got a little (well, maybe a lot) crazy at times worrying over many of the issues I was facing for the future. It was a complicated case--one that most attorneys would have not taken, much less embraced with the ability and grace that she has shown me over the last two years. She fought for me on every front, calmed me, advised me, and been there for me above and beyond what most friends would have done, much less, an attorney. We were in several mediations, the last one lasted over 15 hours. She reassured me, fed me, walked and talked with me, and had my interests at the forefront of the entire process, never failing to give me her complete and professional attention and care. I not only gained a friend I dearly love, but I had the best legal advice and guidance that I could have ever hoped for. She is the best of the best! My life is better, not only because of the legal help, but because of her advice and friendship, concern for my children, animals, extended family, etc. I will forever be grateful for having had her expertise and experience to guide me. No divorce is ever going to go perfectly since there are other parties involved. No one ever wants to have their family or properties divided, but if there is no other option, Kristy will be there to guide and help and put your life back together. She provided me with hope and help when I thought there was none and was there by my side every step of the way. I could not more highly recommend an attorney if you need help making decisions that are heartbreaking and wanting the best legal, professional, and personal outcome possible than Kristy Hansen. She will always have my most grateful thanks and love for the blessing she has been in my life. She is the best of the best!!

Would have had better results spending the money at a strip club.

Hired her to represent me in mediation of a child custody case. She failed to submit any time sharing agreement, parenting plan or order to the judge that had anything we agreed to in mediation. I was extremely happy with what she got me in mediation, but it doesn't matter because it was never subm...itted to the court. I have lost all legal custody rights for my child because of this. I brought it to her offices attention 5 months ago. The only thing I have heard from them is how much I still owe.

Quick! Efficient! Won!

Kristy did a great job on my case. In the initial consult she was already drafting documents to send to opposing counsel. She worked with speed which saved me money. She gave me confidence and worked to get me the best deal. She attended mediation and referred me to a great lawyer when my former spou...se wouldn't sign a waiver. She worked with the other lawyer and they won. They got 100% of what I was looking to do and was grateful for the hard work.
