Gloria Cardenas changed our lives.

Thanks to Gloria Cardenas my brother, mother and I were all able to successfully receive our U visas. Thanks to this we were able to receive our social security cards and workers permits. After the waiting process, we were all able to receive our Green Cards. We are extremely grateful for her advice ...and making this process as tolerable as possible. Her team kept us up to date every step of the way. We look forward to going back in 3 years to file for our citizenship.

Refugee Asylum Case

My friend and I contacted Ms Cardenas to represent her in the Refugee Asylum case and to stop deportation. My friend is an immigrant from Honduras, she fled her country with her little boy in an attempt to save her life and her sons life. She was a victim of domestic violence and tortured by her chil...drens father, whom was also a violent criminal from the Maya 18 grang in Honduras. Ms Cardenas has been very carring and compassionate. I highly value the professional and personal support we have received from Ms Cardenas every step of the way, her devotion and compassion to win the case is admirable. All I can say is she is an angle sent from God, she is awesome. I have recommended her to family and friends because she will get the job done.

Saved Me from Deportation

I was set to be deported to my country and torn from my 3 children who are citizens of the US. I hired Gloria to try to do something to help me. I had about 3 weeks to figure something out. Gloria worked really fast and smart. She said he had to or there was little I could do not to return to my ...country. She filed an appeal to the higher court, and she also ask ICE to exercise their discretion not to deport me. Other attorneys said it was not possible. I was so scared but Gloria made me feel confident, and she said to put my faith in her which I did, even when the ICE officers were saying there was no hope. But there was. I am now out of deportation, and can stay in the US with my children. I am so happy to recommend Gloria. She is such a great attorney and if you are in need of someone who will fight for you, I recommend her 100%.

Family experience with Gloria Cardenas and Familia America

I was born in the United States to my mom and dad who are from Mexico. My mom and dad left their beloved land of Mexico to find a better life in the United States. My mom and dad have always worked hard to provide a better life then they had to myself and my siblings. I cannot thank them enough fo...r what they sacrificed for me. The only way that I could think to show my appreciation to my parents was to help them with their immigration status. I knew that there must be something I could do for them, I just wasn't sure where to even start. I researched many Immigration Attorney's online and I just didn't feel comfortable enough with any of them to open up my family. I then heard Gloria Cardenas on the radio one day and I knew I had found my attorney. I called and scheduled a consultation with her. I was amazed by the professionalism of the person I spoke to on the phone. I was told there would be a charge of the consultation, and that the money I paid would go towards the amount paid if I hired Gloria. I felt comfortable with that because it is not wasted money. I was then scheduled for a consultation and all my information was taken over the phone. I then went and told my mom and dad what I was planning on doing. At first they were resistant to the idea of exposing themselves and their story to a stranger. I then showed them Gloria's picture and explained my experience of the phone call. My mom came around to the idea quickly, but my dad was still hesitate. The day of the appointment came and we went to the office to meet with Gloria. At the office it was busy and hectic. Gloria was running late with the appointment before us. My mom and I were fine with that, but my dad was a little upset. I explained to my dad that it was a good thing that Gloria was busy. It means that she takes her time when meeting with people. He settled down a bit after hearing that. It came time for us to meet with Gloria. We all walked into her office and sat down. Gloria was so organized and she went over my parents immigration case. My mom opened up right away to Gloria, but my dad again was hesitant. After watching Gloria and listening to her my dad final opened up about his immigration story. I actually learned things about my dad that day that I had never know. I learned that my parents are strong and brave individuals for making the decision to come to the United States. I learned about the long trek through the Deseret and all the obstacles that were presented to them as they came to the Untied States. Gloria listened to what my parents said and the documentation that they had and then decided the best course of action for their immigration cases. We hired Gloria on that day. I am happy to say that I can know help my parents solve their immigration status. Thank you Gloria for keeping our family together in the United States!

Very disappointing and left alone

My husband and I went to Gloria Cardenas- to start his immigration process. We had an issue with his divorce in his home country. She assured us to proceed with the divorce and once we obtained it to return to her and continue the process. Once we received the divorce decree and try to make an app...ointment, we were told that we are no longer a client of hers. Not only did she leave us hanging, she took our money which we paid up front and our documents which she never returned. Oh, we were also told we were able to come back as new clients if we paid her $75 for a new consultation. No thank you! She did nothing for us at all. Oh she also replaced her staff. Stay away and get your self an honest attorney!

I am sorry that you had a poor experience at my firm. While I did offer free consultations for many years, my policy changed in 2016, and I now charge $75.00 for a consultation, and if retained, that fee will be applied to the Retainer paid. That is very fair given that most equally qualified attorneys charge a non-refundable $250.00 consultation fee. Many people mistakenly believe that once they hire an attorney for one process, or application, that attorney is their attorney for all processes, steps in the processes, or applications. The scope of representation is clearly defined by me both orally during the consultation, as well as in writing. My staff has not been replaced. On the contrary, my staff have worked with me for many years. I do have additional people handling my telephone calls, and taking detailed intakes to assist me in providing the best possible communication with my clients, and anyone who wishes to consult with me. I consider myself to be a very straightforward and honest lawyer, and my 25 year record speaks for itself.

"What you want in a lawyer is in Gloria. She is extremely smart, understanding, easy to reach, has a fantastic staff, and even more, is a good colleague in the legal community. I practice mostly family law, criminal law and civil matters, but immigration issues often arise in these areas and more. She answers my questions, cares about my concerns, and cares about the concerns of her clients.
