Steven L. Anderson

I recently completed my court hearings and was very pleased with my experience hiring Steve Anderson. My circumstances were pretty bad and didn't have much wiggle room but he was able to get me a great plea agreement at a very fair price. My court date was pushed back 4 times due to one city dropping... it for another city to pick it back up, canceled because of the earthquake, and multiple times from Covid-19 and he was excellent about communcating the updates for all of them. Hopefully, I'll never need his services again but if I did, I would absolutely use him again.

In February of this year, I was cited for a DUI in Davis County, UT, one of the more strict and conservative areas in Northern Utah. I was terrified of the consequences of what would appear on my record, possible fines and loss of my drivers license. I had contacted a lawyer before Steve who wanted a... very large retainer down, plus more after the case resolution. They were very accusatory, and admitted to using unlawful methods in the initial interview, and it made me feel like I was doomed. Initially upon meeting with Steve, I could tell that he had a genuine interest in helping me come to the best resolution for my specific case, and wasn't just digging for high retainer fees. At each meeting he went over each step in detail, and made sure I understood the process fully. In my particular case, I was dealing with a work visa to a different country, and he was able to recommend outside help for that as well. Overall, I am quite happy with the outcome of my case. The charges were lowered from DUI to impaired driving, and the speeding charges on my citation were dropped completely. He even was able to have the judge accommodate for my out of state residence.
