Adam was outstanding in working with us. He helped us to establish our family trust. We had several specific questions that are unique to our family situation and Adam was able to help us navigate through them. I was so pleased with Adam's service, I referred my sister to him who also used his services. I have shared his name with other people who need to hire an attorney. I would use him again, without hesitation.
In an environment when many law firms practice in several different areas, the attorneys at Inter Vivos realized that to truly offer the quality of estate planning services that people deserve, one must do more than just "dabble" in estate planning or provide clients with form estate plans. This is why Inter Vivos was created, not to offer the run of the mill estate plans, but to provide the highest quality of estate planning with the personal touch necessary.
A trust is an arrangement whereby someone owns and manages money or property for another person's benefit. Like a guardianship, a trustee has decision-making authority over the trust property, but no court is involved in the trustee's action–the person who creates the trust defines the scope of the trustee's power. There are many different trust types, including probate trusts, income trusts, spendthrift trusts, and educational trusts.
A written will lets you decide what happens to your money and property after you die, while a living will lets you decide whether or not you wish to be placed on a medical life support system if you become disabled or incapacitated. Wills attorneys and living wills attorneys know all of the language that must be included in your will documents so that things happen the way you want.
Adam is a member of WealthCounsel, the Utah Valley Estate Planning Council, the Estate Planning Section of the Utah State Bar, and the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils which allows him to provide Utah families the best estate planning services.  Adam received both his Juris Doctor and MBA degrees from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.  Adam received a bachelor of arts in communication (emphasizing in public relations) from Brigham Young University-Idaho. His foremost desire with his profession and life is to make a difference in the lives of those with whom he comes in contact. While in law school and throughout his legal career, Adam gained a great love for estate planning and decided that he wanted to dedicate himself to counseling clients through the estate planning process.

Excellent and meticulous work. I highly recommend him.
We had a family trust prepared many years ago in California, but decided it was time to update the trust. Adam was very thorough and through the process we discovered what a knowledgeable and competent attorney he is. We were impressed with his professionalism and personal concern for us during the process of preparing our trust. We were truly amazed by the quality of his work.

Professional, thorough, knowledgeable, with careful attention to detail. Highly recommend Mr. Peterson
We were impressed with the very professional and efficient handling of our estate plan by Mr. Peterson. Many years ago, while living in California, we hired an attorney to prepare an estate plan for us. The new estate plan prepared for us by Mr. Peterson is superior and definitely more thorough than the one we had previously. We appreciate his outstanding work and the peace that comes with knowing we are better prepared for the ultimate events of our lives.

"I endorse Attorney Peterson. From his answers and time on Avvo, it is clear he is dedicated to serving those in need and his clients. It's rare that lawyers spend so much valuable time helping the community, for free, and I applaud him for doing it to such a great level. Kudos."
