Lindsay Jarvis

I chose to hire Lindsay because I've seen her in action while working for the criminal justice system. I admired her poise and professionalism. While I've personally never needed an attorney, my spouse was charged with a domestic violence offense. Due to the collateral consequences of a DV plea or co...nviction, an outright dismissal or acquittal was the only acceptable outcome. (My spouse's profession treats pleas held in abeyance just as a conviction) Lindsay took the time, on Thanksgiving eve mind you, to listen to me. She didn't give me any unrealistic expectations, but I felt very confident following the initial consultation. My spouse's case was dismissed outright at the arraignment proceeding. There a lot of negative stereotypes about attorneys, but Lindsay embodies the professionalism we should expect from attorneys. I would strongly recommend Lindsay if you are facing a justice system that can seem intimidating and overbearing.

Lindsay was always available to talk with me about my case. She was patient with my complete lack of understanding of the justice system and helped me understand the mass amounts of legal jargon. Most importantly Lindsay got my case dismissed before the preliminary court appearance! I was facing a ...misdemeanor A...with possible jail time and the loss of other freedoms. I attribute my success to her understanding of the criminal justice system from both sides of the fence; seeing as she was once a prosecuting attorney and is now working as a defense attorney. It boils down to her experience, working relationships, and confidence. At no time did she ever make me feel guilty or not worth her time. I valued her candid responses to my questions. I hear some attorneys do little to zero work on the behalf of their client...Lindsay poured all her effort into my case as if it were her only case. Anything happens again, she will be the first person I call to represent me to save my assteroids!

My experience with Ms. Jarvis spanned the course of a year in a very stressful criminal case. During that time she maintained regular, frequent contact with me where she gave me very detailed information regarding my case. She was sensitive to my needs and spent a significant amount of time answeri...ng my questions and addressing my concerns. It was easy to tell that she cares for her clients as human beings and not just cases to process. Ms. Jarvis has a remarkable knowledge of criminal law and procedure which ended up benefiting me greatly. She is very well respected by all of her legal colleagues. I would recommend her services without reservation. If any one of my loved ones needs an attorney, she will be the one I recommend!

Do not hire this lawyer. She is the most unfocused, disorganized, unhelpful lawyer I have ever seen. She was hired to represent me for two different matters. On one matter there was a total of five hearings, and she was at least thirty minutes late for each one. At the final hearing, I pointed out so...me errors in the paperwork, and despite being able to show her the proper times that my son's school ended via the school district's website, she refused to correct the error and indicated the error was my fault because I had sat with her in the same room and listened to the people at the front office indicate that the school ended at a different time and didn't say anything. On the second matter, she only attended one hearing(and arrived late). This was a case where she was supposed to gather the discovery before the second hearing, and she indicated that she would call me as soon as she got it. Three days before the second hearing, I called her to ask her if she had received it, because I was not wanting to drive four hours round trip just for her to say that she had not received it. Of course she had not received the discovery, and if I had not called her, she would have had both of us drive for four hours round trip for a five minute hearing. Ms. Jarvis made several promises that she never kept, ranging from contacting a judge asking them to review a protective order, to promises of keeping in constant contact. None of these promises were ever kept, and she refused to return any phone calls or emails. The only email she ever answered she decided to answer via her smartphone while sitting in the court room in front of the judge when she was supposed to be representing me. The horrible thing was that she attempted to make the email sound as though she were answering it the night before. I guess she forgot that emails are stamped with a date and time as to when they are sent, and if it is sent from your phone, it indicates that it was sent from your phone. Ms. Jarvis is also willing to speak to anyone about your private information without consulting with you first. She had the nerve to make an appointment with my father to discuss every detail about my case that he wanted to know without asking my permission. She didn't even let me know that she had made an appointment with him. If her staff hadn't called me to "remind" me that my father and I had an appointment, I wouldn't have known anything about it. So, when I finally had enough of her, she indicated that she would refund the unused money from my first matter, and would provide a reference for a new lawyer that was closer to where the matter was being tried. It took nearly two weeks to receive the refund check, because the gal who "wrote the checks" was "gone". When it was finally received, she had neglected to send along any referral. Do not hire this lawyer.
