Biography
In 2009, Joshua Baron and Yossof Sharifi founded Sharifi & Baron in downtown Salt Lake City. They didn't have any clients and had to share a desk in a tiny office to get started. Since then they have represented hundreds of clients in nearly every court in the State of Utah.
Mr. Baron graduated cum laude from the J. Reuben Clark School of Law at Brigham Young University where he was Executive Editor of the Journal of Public Law and Associate Editor of the Education Law Journal. Mr. Baron began his career as a litigator at a law firm in Park City, Utah, representing developers, real estate agents, and construction companies. He later joined the Salt Lake City Prosecutor’s Office and served as an Assistant City Prosecutor.
Mr. Baron has experience in civil and criminal litigation, ranging from construction and real estate law, to criminal and constitutional law. He has been lead attorney on over 20 jury trials and numerous bench trials. He speaks fluent Spanish.
Mr. Baron is licensed to practice law before federal and state courts in Utah.
