I've been fighting for custody of my children for years now. My children had expressed wanting to live with me and my ex refused to allow them to. I contacted HPK and Jake was assigned to my case. He was thorough and let me know upfront it wasn't going to be an easy or cheap case, but that i had a ca...se that was winnable. He and his team were engaged and helped me with information and guiding me throughout the case. They helped me to keep my expectations in check, but also encouraged that we could see an improved outcome regardless. They put us (my wife and I) on the path to the best possible outcome. The end result was that my son was allowed to come live with me finally and my daughter chose to stay with her mom. We were able to get good results and a more equatiable custody arrangement. Jake helped my son son get his kids back, my daughter in law passed in April of 2022 and her dad and step mom filed for temporary gaurdianship, it was a horrible time but Jake walked my son through everything and was there every step of the way, always had time to answer questions or concerns not on...ly from my son but myself as well. We had our day in court and we got my grandkids back, they were away 45 days and it was a very dark time for us. Thank you Jake for being a great attorney. Jake Hardee is a great attorney to have on your side. He never left me with negative feelings. There were zero communication issues, he is very punctual. I am part of the rare cases that go to trial. Basically my ex is extremely difficult. I was baffled on how the first custody case turned out. La...ter she made false claims and I didn’t expect the judge to take a felons word over mine. This left me with less custody than fathers who actually physically abuse their children get.
