Jake was an amazing attorney. He was super kind but straight forward he eased my anxieties a lot about being in court as I’ve never done it before. We first made contact with Jake back in May of 2024 to help us in a custody case for my son. After interviewing multiple lawyers, we were most impressed with Jake’s determination, attitude, and professionalism. During the interview he took notes on our case and what we wanted as well as advised us... of what was most likely going to happen without sugar coating anything. He was the most upfront lawyer I have ever spoken with, which gave me more peace of mind then false hopes or empty promises. During the course of our case the opposing counsel frequently ignored emails, phone calls, and even standard procedures that Jake would submit in order to move the case forward. No matter how difficult it got Jake was there to help and reassure us. He knew every step and correct procedure to take and I never felt that we had forgotten anything. Whenever I had a concern about delays, no responses from opposing counsel or even just the overall cost of everything, Jake was there to help me and my family. In May we decided to attempt a settlement conference even though any attempt at mediation failed. During the conference Jake had my interests and concerns ready for the judge to hear as well as advised me without delay about potential settlements. Needless to say I felt more than comfortable with Jake by my side. By the end of it we were able to come to a settlement that insured my child would remain safe and home with us without the need to go to trial. We honestly never would have got to this without Jake and all the effort he brought. I would also like to add that Jennifer, Ann, Maren, and Misty all did amazing work helping with our case!

Jake agreed to take over my case after my previous attorney moved offices with only 3 months left before trial. It was a high conflict custody case and Jake was able to get my case settled with very favorable results. He was well prepared and articulate speaking for me at hearings before the judge.
