Steven Roy Minert

Steve Minert is devoted to using his practice to help people through difficult and complicated legal issues.

Philosophy
As an experienced lawyer, Steve Minert is well versed in setting goals, creating options, and crafting individual strategy for each client. Anticipating potential challenges and foreseeing solutions to each client’s individual problems is a significant part of each case plan. Experience in the courtroom and additional training in specific practice areas gives Steve a unique perspective and strong skill set. He truly understands the need to anticipate potential legal issues which may arise even years down the road.

Education
Steve graduated Cum Laude from Brigham Young University and also earned his law degree from Brigham Young University, where he was the first member of his class to be published in the Law Review, served as an Executive Editor of the Journal of Public Law, and participated in the national award-winning Moot Court program.

Experience
Steve served first as a Special Deputy County Attorney for the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office (Phoenix, AZ) in the Vehicular Crimes Unit, then as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and later as a City Prosecutor for the City of Eagle, Idaho. Steve is admitted to practice law in the State of Idaho and began his private practice in January, 2009.

Admissions
Steve is a member of the Idaho State Bar Association and the United States District Court, District of Idaho.

Activities and Interests
Steve enjoys playing and watching all types of sporting events, singing and playing musical instruments, flying model airplanes, and going out to eat with his wife. Steve is an Eagle Scout and loves Ultimate Frisbee.
