Beware

BEWARE! The front office experience is very polished and welcoming, which initially gave us confidence in this firm. Unfortunately, once payment was taken in full, any communication, receiving information and services became a major issue. Phone calls were not returned, emails went unanswered, phon...e appointments were sent but then the attorney was a NCNS (No Call No Show) on multiple occasions, and there was little to no follow-through from the attorney or their team. Despite repeated attempts, for months, to get updates or responses or even get our own files, we were left in the dark. The contrast between how eager and supportive the firm was to get us onboard and to accept payment and how unresponsive they became afterward was extremely disappointing. Professional legal representation requires communication and follow through, and that was severely lacking here. I would strongly recommend proceeding with extreme caution and ensuring expectations around communication and services are clearly addressed in writing before hiring this firm.

Do Not Hire Jeremy Hugus & His Team

I had to personally go into his law office, not once, but 3 different times to try and get any answers or responses from anybody about my case and what was going on with my license!?! I finally meet Jeremy for the first time and he nonchalantly tells me that BAILEY B. LAZZARI is no longer with the fi...rm (got fired or quit). I was basically left high and dry without even the respect or courtesy of a phone call from anybody at the law firm. The arrogance and lack of professionalism instantly made me not like Jeremy and I questioned everything he said from that moment on. Jeremy's law firm is a reflection of how he runs his business and how disconnected he is from reality and the people that work for him. Jeremy should be ashamed for what he has done and charged not only me, but other people around the community that I have spoke with. I am simply here to share my story and horrible experience with Jeremy Hugus and I would hope you consider ANYBODY else. Do not have this guy ever represent you in a case.

Greedy law firm, money > justice

Wanted $15,000 to represent me, his paralegals tried to tell me I wouldn’t qualify for a public defender and insisted I hire them for $7000 upfront and payment plan on remaining $8000. I bonded out on a Monday, and a part of my bond conditions was I needed representation on paper by that Friday. That... Thursday I paid cowboy country $7000 and signed a contract with then declaring that I was hiring them to be my lawyer. Luckily I applied for a public defender before I bonded out and he had entered his appearance on Thursday because cowboy country took all the way until Tuesday of the following week to enter their appearance on my case, which was one day before my court date which was Wednesday. By the time cowboy country finally entered their appearance I was in communication with my public defender and he was already given a good deal by the prosecutors office and forwarded it to me for review. I reviewed the offer and thought it wasn’t the worst and that I wanted to accept the offer, I had seen how cowboy country was going to treat me by doing everything last minute and I called them up and voiced my opinion on the matter and they tried to convince me to not accept the plea deal and try to take it to trial instead, but as a part of contract they wanted $11,000 a day for every day a trial hearing took place, hundreds of dollars for hourly rates for motions to suppress, and any meals or travel fees incurred. They wanted me to risk losing more money by taking the case to trial and risking a felony conviction all so that they could put more money into their own pockets all while not being able to gaurantee a win even if I did decide to fight it. After being shown their greed and blatant lack for caring about my well-being I decided to fire them that Wednesday for failing to meet obligations that were made in the contract stating that they would enter their appearance, because them failing to enter their appearance in a timely manner could’ve turned into a bond violation and was upset with how they were handling my case. I told them they were fired and after a total of 1 days of being on paper as my attorney and failing to meet contract obligations of entering appearance they decided that charging me $1500 for their hard work was what they were worth. This law firm is just money hungry they don’t care about justice, you’re better off hiring someone located more west.

Best Defense in Wyoming

Cowboy Country criminal defense has been absolutely amazing. I was hesitant at first because I wasn’t sure if I could afford their legal team but they were great and worked with me on a payment plan and saved me from doing any jail time with the serious charges I was faced with. Thank you so much to ...Sheree, Katelynn, and my attorney Bailey! Well worth the money!

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"A good family law attorney needs to not only understand the law and appreciate its nuances, but needs also to understand and have compassion for the emotionally charged feelings of his client and the other side. Jeremy and his client and my client and I are 2,000 miles apart, We have never met. Yet, because Jeremy understood that a holiday dispute could mean our clients' children would be the ones to suffer and because he understood the nuances in the law that applied to our case, he was able to strongly advocate for his client to bring about an amicable agreement that led to a Merry Christmas for everyone.
