A Saint and a friend

When i found joe I was desperate and scared. my case was going to motions and I could not find another attorney to take my case because it was so far in the system. I know many say this, but in my case it was true. When i was s`topped Christmas morning of 2019, I was not under the influence of anythin...g, but the trooper saw a pipe on the floor of my car and assumed I was. I failed the road side sobriety test because I had balance issue's. I have medical records showing I have low back problems addressing this , but I was still charged with a dui. Needless to say I was frustrated and upset.I felt lost and had no hope. We were about three hours from motions hearing when i found Joe. I explained my situation, and Joe immediately explained my rights and took my case immediately, without hesitation, and put me at ease right away. In my eyes, the man is a Saint. Joe is honest and up front. He kept me informed throughout the process and if I became upset, Joe was on the phone immediately to put me at ease. Joe assured me it would all work out , and in the end it did. Need an attorney that will actually care about you and your situation? Guilty or not , Joe is the only man you need to call and the only number you will ever need. Thank you again so much Joe. God bless and I'm proud to call you my friend. Paul R.Covington

Joe Maher is the best lawyer to hire if you are facing DUI charges

Back in August 2019, my life took a 360 turn for the worse when I was arrested for a DUI. It was my first time facing a situation like this so I decided to look for a lawyer that specialized in DUIs. I interviewed with 3 others before hiring Joe. I was convinced to hire his services for his accola...des as a lawyer (seen on his webpage), his previous experience with DUI's and experience as a DA prosecutor along with his veteran status ( I am in the military and this was going to affect my military career). I also went by feeling as I got a good vibe during our first meeting. He told me he cared for me and that he would do anything in his power to help me, he did exactly that. He seemed very honest, personable and human in his approach. This is a detailed overview on my case: I was stopped on the night of my birthday for speeding. I failed the impossible road side maneuver tests and the police officer arrested me after I blew, my final BAC at the station was .094. My license was taken from me that night so I had 7 days to request a hearing with the Department of Revenue to defend my privilege to drive. I eventually got a hearing date for October 13, 2020. A day before, I had a call with Mr. Maher to discuss the hearing. He told me he went over the footage of my arrest and explained he saw questionable material and proceeded to explain possible defense arguments. I had a list of questions ready for that call and he answered them all with no hesitation. I felt a bit more relieved. October 13 comes and during the hearing I notice his skill and how he managed to defend me in a very professional manner. He is extremely articulate. He exposed some errors made during my arrest and cross examined the officer that arrested me, the officer was nervous! Joe knew even more about DUI laws and arresting procedures than him! At the end, even though Joe's arguments were valid, the Department of Revenue hearing judge sustained my suspension on the basis that the arresting officer had proof enough to detain me. After learning of the outcome, Joe sent a detailed email that same day, explaining all the steps I needed to take to get my license back (AFTER a one month hard suspension). There was a bit of a mishap as (not to Joe's fault), my email system thought that Joe's emails where SPAM so I didn't see this email and I kept driving, until I got a letter from the Dept. of Revenue with the result on the hearing a couple weeks later. I immediately called Joe with my concern and he apologized profusely, it was not really his fault this happened, but recognized he should had followed up with a call after the fact. His communication ramped up even more from then on as he followed up with me weekly with calls and emails and made himself available to me at any time. He vowed to talk to his team so this wouldn't happen again. I was grateful for his honesty, openness and quick response. While awaiting a court date, Mr. Maher was very helpful in explaining all the things I needed to accomplish before, for a chance to obtain a better outcome: -Sign up for Level 2 Alcohol education class (12 weeks/24hrs). -Get an interlock device installed in the car (so I could drive with a restricted license after my hard one month suspension). -Sign up for 48 hrs of community service. -Sign up for a 2 hour Mother's Against Drunk Drivers class. -Complete an alcohol evaluation by the state before sentence. -Don't drink. Joe told me he was negotiating with the prosecutor and kept me informed all the way. The outcome of the hearing: DUI with Deferred Judgement sentence and 9 month unsupervised probation. Joe explained to the judge how I had completed all requirements before sentencing and requested a 9 month probation, the judge gladly agreed! Joe told me cases like these usually get 1-2yr probation. Joe's skillful defense will allow me to put this behind sooner. I am so glad I chose Joe to defend me!

The very best

I hired Joe for a DUI case. After consulting several attorneys, Joe was the only one who took the time to contact me directly and genuinely help me. He knows the law very well. He will stop at nothing until he gets you the best outcome in your situation. The outcome he got me surpassed my expectation...s. He is amazing. He cares and will fight for you. I highly recommend him.

If you’re on the fence about hiring Maher & Maher law, please read my review

In May 2020, I was cited for driving 104 MPH in a 65 MPH zone, a 6 point citation on my license. August 2020, I total my car and get cited for DUI (12 points), careless driving (4 points), and failure to provide insurance upon request (8 points). August 2020, I get cited for following too clos...ely (4 points). In Colorado, your license is suspended if you get 12 points against your license in 12 months, so I was looking at a definite suspension. I hired Maher & Maher law in August. I was hesitant at first because they’re expensive for my salary, but I’ll tell you why hiring this firm was worth every penny. The DOR suspends my license for the insurance. I contact Maher & Maher and they get my license reinstated that same day. Here’s how the citations played out: The following too closely ticket was dropped to a defective taillight. Zero points on my license and a $15 fine. The speeding ticket, 104 MPH in a 65 MPH zone, was dropped to a 5-9 MPH over the speed limit citation. One point on my license and an $85 fine. The DUI and failure to provide insurance upon request were dismissed. The careless driving charge was plead to a deferred judgment. A $150 fine and level one driving course and it will be dismissed after 6 months, with the opportunity to seal the arrest record. I am not a rule-breaker and I actually had no prior record or tickets before the terrible year that was 2020. I thought my life and career were over and I fell into a dark place. Without Maher & Maher law, there’s no way I would have gotten out of that hole. If you want a knowledgeable legal team that produces results, Maher & Maher law is worth every penny. Great attorneys ain’t cheap and cheap attorneys ain’t great.

First Offense DUI with Defferre Judgement Result

I contacted Joe Maher back in March about taking my DUI case. I have never had to go through the court system like this before and Joe did an amazing job keeping me well informed as well as making sure I grasped an understanding of everything that was happening. My case happened to occur right during... the heart of the pandemic and I got my final sentencing before the end of the year. The ladies in the office at Joe's practice, Krystle and Callista, helped me figure out how to complete all my tasks ordered by the court as many things were very different due to the pandemic. I never felt lost or at a loss of understanding. Joe and his team were always there to answer my questions. My case resolved with a deferred judgement plea, 1 year unsupervised probation, and a hefty chunk of court fees waived. I would definitely recommend Joe to friends or family that find themselves in need of such help, as I felt very comfortable letting him take care of my case and get the best outcome possible. Thank you Joe and team, you guys are awesome!!!!
