I attempted my divorce using Korin Lewis a terrible attorney ( she was better litigation to my ex. Come to find out she was under the advice of the worst lawyer in Austin, Texas Kody Siliva. Never met this man in person. Had one phone call when I fired him and this piece of crap cost me $33,500.00 an...d then he charged me another $1,030.00 for firing him. When I left a bad review of everything I lost Ms. Candice Deyerle took it upon herself to have what looks like false reviews to bring their rating up artificially. PLEASE, PLEASE, spend your money on a lawyer that is for your interests. This law firm cannot do that for you. They are expensive but useless. Take a look at the check on their website. It shows half of the $1030.00 Kody Siliva stoled from me. PLEASE PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE.

When I decided to file for divorce, I googled the "best family attorney" in Austin and got Kirker's firm as one of the top ... well, I did not know that hiring that firm does not mean getting a good lawyer, or an experienced lawyer. I got a very inexperienced lawyer who appeared incompetent and con...stantly unprepared. Kody did not only lack the basic understanding of how to maximize the gains of his client ... he was consistently unprepared and always reacting to the other party's filings or actions. Everything was a surprise. Always consulting with his "colleagues" on what to do next. The other problem that he had is that he cared about his career more than my or my kids' life & future, which felt like they were on the line in this court fight; The other party's attorney had 30+ years of exp .. he was constantly lying & hiding info & maneuvering ... & while you expect your attorney to protect you from such dishonest behavior ... it felt to me that Kody was either working for him, giving him excuses & building a relationship so he can help him with his career in the future. I changed my attorney after 9 months of useless expenses & effort .. and in 3 months, I ended up with a result that was told to me by Kody as "very unlikely".

I had never worked with an attorney prior to my recent divorce. I had all the usual reservations- how do I know he will act in my best interest, is he actually any good at what he does, and is he really worth the expense? Fortunately I called and spoke to Kody Silva, and I can say without hesitation ...that I don’t think I could have dreamed of a better outcome. The entire team took care of me and my needs in the most proactive and professional way possible. My case was in Hays County, and was settled in mediation. Kody is a tactful but tenacious negotiator and he explained both the short term and long term implications of the mediated agreement. My divorce was finalized in approximately 4 months thanks to the efforts of Kody and his team. Looking back with hindsight, I have to say that all my reservations were unfounded. Kody was my number one advocate (he was also looking out for my 6 year old son), he is amazing at what he does, and while no one likes to pay for professional services like an attorney (especially when you are facing the tough financial realities of divorce) they are invaluable! I cannot say enough good things about Kody and everyone I worked with at Kirker Davis.
