Lindasue Smollen

I cannot imagine having gone through my divorce without her. She was the absolute perfect balance between being professional and serving as some emotional support when I was going through the most difficult time of my life. She gave me hard advice that I needed to hear at times, which has to be rare... because I am sure most just tell people what they want to hear. She was very creative about how to be my best advocate - taking care to note details that I would have forgotten if I had been my own advocate. Plus I will add that she is a very warm person to spend time with- very authentic. She made some unbelievably difficult times manageable. Also, she is relentless in getting the best outcome for me. A friend of mine called her a bulldog - and I like that metaphor. But she is not unreasonably so. There were times that other lawyers made themselves look bad by being awful to judges and staff, thinking that they are fighting for their client, all the while making their client look bad. Lindasue never did that - she always knew when to hang back. And her knowledge of the law - and common procedures - is outstanding. I just cannot say enough good about her. I would recommend her strongly to anyone going through a divorce. And if it was a close friend, I would almost insist. I can't imagine a better criminal defense or divorce lawyer.
