I just finished a very arduous divorce with a settlement agreed upon right before court. The other attorney was very difficult and liked to churn legal fees. She requested exhaustive information and did everything in her power to upset my ex by letting her think I was trying screw her with every offe...r or inquiry. Todd Stahly is definitely more of a mediating attorney, rather than a good trial attorney. After more than a year of paying him, I never once felt like he was on my side or supported my positions. Even though I ended up getting the custody I was seeking, I was very disappointed with his efforts in... the courtroom. He was afraid to make objections or press professional witnesses who had blatantly erred - in my opinion, because he did not want to ruin any relationships with judges, PRE's , etc. he might need in future cases. There were many straight forward arguments he could have made but chose not to. After paying him almost $100K in fees, he declined to further represent me after Final Orders were issued and the ex decided to pursue more custody through the Decision Maker - citing he was too busy. I deserve better than that and so do you.
