The best I could ask for

After my first encounter with the law in my entire life left me facing three felonies and a misdemeanor, I was very skeptical that I could get through my battle without a horrible criminal record. After searching through a half a dozen lawyers I met Steve. He priced his services very fairly compared ...to the others I had met and sat down with me to play out both the best and worst scenarios. Fortunately, with him on my side I was able to plea to only a misdemeanor and most likely saved my future. Steve has been an excellent guide in getting me through probation smoothly. I owe a lot of my freedom to him, he won me a second chance in the eyes of the law.

The absolute worst.

just like to have the guy who review Mr Louth.atty. hung me out to dry. Do not hire him in a criminal matter where you are concerned about the outcome.he did not communicate the date of the trial with me. He acted completely unprofessional and aloof with me.sometimes even confrontational. He brought ...no strategy for defense at my trial. He took no notes when we got together for conference before the trial. He defended me poorly during my trial and did not argue defense for what the prosecution was saying.he talked to the jury and it would take to Jerry thought he was from another planet he acted foolish. Outside the court room he treated me poorly with the respect and when he talked to the people in front of me he scheduled me away as if I was some kind of miscreant. I'm warning you all this attorney will do is take your money.

Horrible Attorney

I hired Steven Louth in 2003 for a felony criminal matter. He took my money at the beginning of the case and that was as hard as he worked. He failed to notify me of a court date and then told the judge that I should have been in attendance. The Judge postponed by a day and Louth drove to my home i...n Firestone and left a scribbled " call me" note on my door. When I called him he told me to be in court the next day. He never told me that I had "missed a court date". The next day the Judge asked me why I was not in court the day before and I told him that I was never notified of the hearing. Louth says " your honor, I notified the client via letter". I then asked the Judge to ask Mr. Louth to show a copy of the letter to the court and the Judge asked him if he had it. He said " not with me your honor. Yet he had his file with him. This lawyer is buddy buddy with all of the prosecutors and treats his clients like 2nd class citizens. I fired him and hired a Denver Lawyer who came in and handled my case professionally and treated me with respect. I remember Louth saying that he thinks about his clients when he walks his dog at night................ What a joke, he just takes your money. Do not hire this guy.............

Couldn't have asked for more!!

After being wrongfully charged with 1st degree assault I found myself terrified about the possibility of the outcome of my future. At first I was represented by a different lawyer who told me that he could not get the charges dropped and that I would have to go to trial. So then I called Steven Louth.... I have never had a better lawyer. He sat down with me and listened, he showed empathy for my situation and promised that he would do anything and everything to give me the best situation. We were planned for trial, which he was extremely confident we would win. A week before trial Steven was able to get the charge completely dropped. While I know that every persons situation will be different , I highly recommend Steven Louth for any criminal defense case you may have. His prices are reasonable and he will fight for you. I consider Steven and the rest of his team a friend now. Everyone in his office will work diligently and give you the best chance for success.

Gave me a new lease on life

Steven Louth represented me for felony distribution of a schedule 1 drug as well as possession, in which he got everything dismissed. Without him I don't even want to think where I would be right now! Going into our first meeting I was shaking not even 30 mins later walking out I had no worries he ...put all my fears to rest. He is extremely knowledgeable, well known throughout his peers (great trait to have) and trustworthy. He had my entire case dismissed within 10 mins of being at the court hearing. An added bonus he helps you figure a new rout to take in life (basically a free therapy session :D) He charges absolutely fair you don't feel like you got taken at all. I have recommend him to anyone in need of a lawyer and will do it again and again. Thank you so much you gave me a new lease on life.

"I have worked alongside Steve for the last four years and have been practicing law with him for the last year. Steve has an incredibly deep understanding of the Colorado laws and has creative ideas to resolve cases. His trial demeanor is exceptional and he thrives at jury trials. Steve's commitment to his clients and concern for their well being is unlike most professionals I have come in contact with. It has been an honor to learn from Steve."

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2025.

Suspension Stayed Placed on Probation issued in CO, 2025

updated on 04/15/2025

Suspension stayed means the attorney has been disciplined, but that the suspension is placed on hold (and ultimately removed) if the attorney complies with probation requirements.

Censure issued in CO, 2022

updated on 07/13/2023

This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
