I hired steve because my case was complicated and needed research. I had been shown a photo by a cop of the bumper of my car in.

I hired Steve because my case was complicated. I needed someone to do research on how is it a cop shows me a photo of the bumper of my car in contact with a beat up hyundai. I knew 100% that there was no way I did this. The charge: 12 pts. I hired Steve because he said he would visit the scene of t...he crime, so he could see the subsidized housing complex, the other cars in the street, a visual of the renters, and a good history of the car accidents on that road. He didnt make it over, he decides from the 911 call that the caller whom he'd never met was right and I was wrong . I felt trapped with an attorney who I had given 3000$ and he had promised one thing and did the other. In court he bargained down to 2 points telling me "This is a win". I couldn't believe it. I told him of a situation 2 yrs prior of being blamed for something, and was told I had to plead guilty. He said, "...and you don't want to do that again. ". Steve had left no time for us to converse recent events and driving history to give him a bigger picture. So I went from having a good driving history with an excellent insurance to having no insurance to drive anymore. I work in health care and a masters degree. I'm very aware, vigilant, and honest. I tried to pick an attorney who is similar. This didnt happen.

Very misleading

Failed to communicate on all levels. I had no idea how bad it would get but "that's the system", and he works for "it", not for you. I was denied proper representation and forced to admit to crimes I did not commit as he carelessly advised it was for the best and nothing would come of it. Now having ...met other people who's life has been negatively affected by such careless handling I feel it's appropriate to say something. Unfortunately there are lawyers who will make someone out to be a criminal because its easy and profitable, so if you go with this one be prepared to lose your rights, your family, your reputation and your own ability to care because you will be left with absolutely nothing but lifelong debt, a deep sense of being violated, mislead, and forgotten. If you are innocent stay with a public defender as they will actually work out a deal that doesn't cost you everything. Be very careful as the system and everyone who works for it does not care about you they care about their paycheque.

He got my case dismissed!

Steven is an awesome lawyer hands down. I was charged with a domestic violence/ 3rd degree assault. He immediately helped me over the phone by telling me what to do with the restraining order. After he listened to all the body cams and everything from the night of the arrest he told me not to worry t...hat it would be dismissed. I went with Steven because I felt like I was in good hands. I am a young woman who spent 4 nights in jail and I was so scared to go back that I developed insomnia and paranoia from it. Once I hired Steven I felt so much better. He went above and beyond for me over the six month awaiting trial. My mother was going to pass away any minute and he got the state to allow me to travel to go see her that same day. He also got the state to allow medical marijuana usage while on pre-trial supervision and 2 drug tests a week. That's only a couple things he did. He was sure they would drop my case before we went to trial and that's exactly what happened. I recommend Steven to anyone that need criminal representation.

Steve Louth did no work on my case.

My friends who are lawyers say the legal community thought is that Steve Louth should be disbarred. I wish zero stars was an option. Steve took $50,000 to represent my family member and then did no work. He didn't investigate the case. He "forgot" to file motions. He told us things were being done bu...t nothing was being done. He wasn't prepared for the trial, he brought no evidence, and my family was badly hurt. Steve Louth was not honest with us. He took our money and did no work. My advice: Don't hire Steve Louth.

Horrible Attorney

I hired Steven Louth in 2003 for a felony criminal matter. He took my money at the beginning of the case and that was as hard as he worked. He failed to notify me of a court date and then told the judge that I should have been in attendance. The Judge postponed by a day and Louth drove to my home i...n Firestone and left a scribbled " call me" note on my door. When I called him he told me to be in court the next day. He never told me that I had "missed a court date". The next day the Judge asked me why I was not in court the day before and I told him that I was never notified of the hearing. Louth says " your honor, I notified the client via letter". I then asked the Judge to ask Mr. Louth to show a copy of the letter to the court and the Judge asked him if he had it. He said " not with me your honor. Yet he had his file with him. This lawyer is buddy buddy with all of the prosecutors and treats his clients like 2nd class citizens. I fired him and hired a Denver Lawyer who came in and handled my case professionally and treated me with respect. I remember Louth saying that he thinks about his clients when he walks his dog at night................ What a joke, he just takes your money. Do not hire this guy.............

Steve has an incredibly deep understanding of the Colorado laws and has creative ideas to resolve cases. His trial demeanor is exceptional and he thrives at jury trials. Steve's commitment to his clients and concern for their well being is unlike most professionals I have come in contact with. It has been an honor to learn from Steve."
