Divorce, also known as Dissolution of Marriage is usually the initial action to terminate a marriage and includes the filing of pleadings, and drafting of the Separation Agreement and Parenting Plans, or otherwise having a trial for the Court to determine how matters should be allocated when an agreement cannot be reached between the parties.

Family Law is the catch-all. All of the other areas of practice are family law. Other areas I cover include adoptions, grandparent visitation, stepparent adoption, civil union dissolutions and prenuptial agreements, paternity issues, collaborative law and all post decree matters. After the Divorce is final there are often disputes that arise with the parenting plan previously agreed upon or otherwise determined by the Court.
