A great guide confidant for a tough time.

Austin Cohen was an invaluable resource and guide during a difficult time. My wife and I had mostly separate finances, each building assets in our own way, with a combined estate of more than $10 million. I didn’t realize how the courts would view this (as marital property), and that dividing it woul...d require complex valuations and backward-looking snapshots that would be hard to find or create. It felt invasive, and more complicated than I had imagined. When I called Austin, he immediately reassured me and explained the divorce process. He answered my questions without assuming any prior knowledge. Throughout, he respected my desire to keep things non-adversarial, although a more combative approach would have meant more billable hours for him. At the same time, he advised me about things we could do that might generate a better financial outcome for me, helping me understand the process of discovery and the role of potential outside experts. He advocated for my financial interests and acted as a sounding board, but ultimately allowed me to call the shots. He was available any time I needed, including by phone on short notice. I was grateful to have someone to talk to not only about the strictly legal aspects of the case but also about what I was going through. I hope I never need to use him again but I am grateful for the counsel and support he provided during a tough time and would recommend him to anyone else going through a divorce.

A professional, fair & effective lawyer

Austin and his team were excellent to work with in my divorce proceedings. Everyone I worked with were highly professional and very responsive in their communications. They did not advise me to fight issues that were not winnable for me and therefore did not accrue unnecessary billable hours. All the... hours I was billed were accurate and fair. He did an great job of negotiating an acceptable resolution amidst sometimes volatile emotions. I highly recommend Austin but hope to never need his services again.

Child Custody

Austin's knowledge, professionalism, and calming demeaner sets him apart from other lawyers. I called Austin in a frantic state HALF way through my case late one afternoon and he jumped right in. His willingness to take on my case without knowing much but acknowledging that we had a tight timeline be...fore our hearing was remarkable. Austin always made sure we were in close contact and spent countless hours working hard to help us reach an agreement without a contested hearing, which we did. I cannot thank him enough and would highly recommend him!

Great attorney, Austin Cohne

As a client of Austin, he communicated with me often and very well. Really, that's what you want and he did it. He was diligent in preparation and did not waste my money. Again, perfect.

Brilliant, Excellent Writer, and Genuine Personality

I hired Austin for a high conflict case about parenting time & decision making. My daughter will benefit in big ways, both now and in the future. I got the exact outcome I was looking to achieve and more. Austin’s understanding of the psychology behind the case was remarkable and the psychologist th...at were involved raved that I choose the right lawyer. In the very beginning, he genuinely tried to settle, but the other side would not budge. So then he wrote a legal motion that was exceptional. It was highly professional the way he wrote about the weaknesses in the other side’s case without insults or being catty. During the deposition, Austin had my ex talking in circles - and he did it with tact and grace. 3 weeks before the trial, the opposing side got the Judge to let them use an expert witness and evaluate my daughter the next day, which was on a Saturday. Austin stayed up all night on Friday and wrote a letter with evidence to the other side’s expert and made sure it hand delivered the next morning before the evaluation. When the other side’s expert released the report, it did not help my ex and aligned with the same information in Austin’s letter. Then 2 days before the hearing, the other side gave up. I would also say that Austin has a very genuine personality and really cared about helping me and ensuring my daughter was the one that got the most benefit from the case. Austin has my highest recommendation.
