Kathryn Stimson is a trial lawyer representing individuals charged with crimes in state and federal court and advocating for the civil rights of individuals against governmental abuses of power.  

 

Ms. Stimson has tried over 50 cases to verdict and handled thousands.  She successfully beat the death penalty in People v. Montour after proving her client was wrongfully convicted of murder.  In 2014, she won the largest civil rights verdict against the Denver police for false arrest, unlawful entry into a home and malicious prosecution.  She has achieved acquittals from juries on the most serious charges and achieved excellent results for clients through negotiation, investigation and sentencing mitigation.

World class negotiator
Kate Stimson keeps government in their box. What I did was wrong and that seems to give some parts of government the belief that I have no rights. With tremendous commitment, skill and zeal, Stimson navigated a difficult path, achieved a one of a kind win, and now I have my life back. Kate has my eternal gratitude.

Professional, determined and caring.
Very determined, caring, never gives up. She's really young, but very professional and knowledgeable. Helped me with all aspects of the case, fought for me to the very end to get the best for me.
