C Darin Jensen

My experience with Hinds & Hinds, particularly with attorney Darin Jensen, was absolutely positive. Overall, the firm maintained a polished and professional approach every step of the way. I had dealt with two other U.S.-based family law firms on the same matter and experienced clumsy and slow manage...ment of simple procedural details. I also interviewed many firms, including three paid consultations, before settling on Hinds & Hinds. Not only did those other firms seem disorganized, they also did not have the expertise I found at Hinds & Hinds, and did not answer my questions with any sense of deep understanding. Finding Hinds & Hinds and Mr. Jensen was a godsend. Specific to Mr. Jensen, he is a subject-matter expert in UCCJEA (the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act), as well as PKPA (the Parental Kidnapping Prevention Act), as well as their origins. Because I was dealing with a coparent who "absconded" (to use Mr. Jensen's term) with my 9-year old son across state lines, made specious accusations against me whilst doing so, and other troubling and challenging accusations against me, it was imperative to me that I find a seasoned family law attorney who not only had direct relevant experience in these areas of law, but had the backing of a larger professional law firm with resources that could be utilized should it be needed further down the road. Mr. Jensen was a friend to me and advised me of all avenues of recourse, as well as dangers of my own position, and coached me legally on every step. He was not only well-versed in these areas of family law (not a common practice area for many family attorneys), but he was passionate about our position, held his own and then some against several troubling judges, and kept my coparent's attorney on their back foot for nearly all the proceedings. In the end, his solid representation led my coparent and her counsel to accept an agreement between both parents that the court accepted, giving me more than I had initially hoped to gain. While each case is different (and I was truly wronged in mine), I would whole-heartedly recommend speaking with Mr. Jensen or other attorney at Hinds & Hinds before considering other firms, especially if you're dealing with an interstate or international matter regarding child custody.

Mr. Jensen was my attorney through a couple custody battles over the last few years. Darin always represented me professionally and respectfully. He has a great court room presence and reads the case really well. He created a plan of action and followed through with it to great results. He is honest ...and truly listened to my concerns and addressed them perfectly to the court. I would recommend him for any family law case.

He does a great job informing me of my responsibilities, and advocating aggressively for my rights - all of which is always backed by deep statutory and case law evidence and interpretation. All of this has emp...owered me to make the best decisions possible, not only for the current matter-at-hand but to strategically act to anticipate potential future pitfalls. The family court system is an incredibly difficult place to be as a client, but Darin's professionalism in the face of opposing counsel's ineptitude and/or ignorance has been top-notch.
