Replied last January 04, 2021Individual requested I guarantee outcomes and then charge a contingency fee based on outcome. I am not permitted to do either by the law and rules of ethics. I believe they became upset because I was not willing to do this and informed them several times. I do chalk some of this up to miscommunication which I take the blame for. Short consultation and back and forth emails and messages sometimes make it hard to fully convey and explain this kind of information. I do not believe any damage was done because all of this occurred prior to their first court setting.
