Biography
Shane M. Boasberg represents Austin families and injury victims as the founding attorney of SMB Law, PC, which he opened in 2010 one block from the Travis County Courthouse in downtown Austin. Licensed in Texas since 2003, he handles divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, protective orders, and modifications, along with car, truck, and motorcycle accident and wrongful death cases on a no-fee-unless-we-win basis.
A New Orleans native, Shane earned degrees in Government and History from The University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston. Early in his career he clerked for Gallagher, Lewis, Downey & Kim, practiced with Heard, Robins, Cloud, Lubel & Greenwood LLP, served as General Counsel to Texas State Senator Mario Gallegos, and worked in the Office of the Texas Attorney General on transportation and eminent domain matters.
Named a Texas Rising Star in 2012 and 2014-2016, Shane is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association.
