also known as Andy Simmons
My niche as a lawyer is representing the little guy against the big guy, on a tight budget, and getting results. I am a defense lawyer by training, but over the years I have always learned to think like a plaintiff's lawyer, too.
I have worked on legal defense teams representing Fortune 500 corporations, and I've represented ordinary hard working individual families and consumers. The mainstay of my practice is representing local small businesses in a wide varieity of litigation, transactions and general counsel matters.
Austin, Texas has been my home base since 1977. I have moved away a few times for school or career, but have been back since 1997.
My business interests outside of law are property management. I own and operate a duplex and co-own a small bed & breakfast
I am a PADI divemaster. I am an avid cyclist, enjoying bicycle commuting and touring.

Personable, Professional, Proficient
I was being sued, time was running out, I was upset, confused, lost. I called 4 other law firms I found on Google. One had a person making appts only despite my short time and request to speak to an attorney now. Two had message machines and I wasn't sure they were even local despite the ad, the 3rd...
"I would not hesitate to recommend anyone sued by a debt buyer to hire Mr. Simmons. I also represent consumers and had the good fortune to be in court recently where Mr. Simmons was arguing on his client's behalf against a debt buyer. He was articulate and had strong arguments and in the end, after well-argued points on both sides, Mr. Simmons got the case against his client completely dismissed. While some attorneys encourage settlement or charge fees through the roof, I believe Mr. Simmons is a fair and strong advocate for consumers."
"I endorse this lawyer 100%. Andy is an excellent lawyer who does a fantastic job for all of his clients."
